It has been quite a few years since I have flown. We are going as a family and the kids have never been in a plane before. We are looking at Sun Country b/c of the nonstop aspect. But I was wondering how the seat assignment part goes. I realize there are no assigned seats unless you pay the extra $8 per seat. But is the 24 online checkin similar to the SW online checkin. So if we get in the first wave, we can get seats together. There will be 4 of us traveling and I would like to have at least one adult with one child but hate to pay another $32 for the upgraded seat thingy. Kids are 7 and 8 and never flown before so I do not want them sitting alone.
TIA

I have not flown suncountry since they have charged for seat assignments, but I know they have planes that are 3 seats rows. I have read a few other threads about seat assignment and I think the general thinking is if you need to sit together, then paying for assignments is recomended because they will split up children and adults. I also hate paying the price, but know it is a necessity to travel comfortably. Good luck.
