Has anyone here every gone down Summit Plummit. Dbf wants to try but is a little nervous. He's done the big one at TL but I read Summit Plummit is double that? Any advice?

I did this slide 5 years ago and will not go back on. I had a wicked scratch on my back several on my legs and I felt every seam of the slide. I did not enjoy my experience at all!

I did it just to say I had, but I don't recommend it as a "fun" time.

I didn't have the courage to do Summit Plummet early in the morning, and by the time I was ready, there was a 90 minute wait. I couldn't see standing on steep stairs in the hot sun for 90 minutes for a five second ride.

We'll be there again a week from Saturday, and I plan to get on it early and get it over with. I did do the adjacent Slusher Gusher and it was awesome. It's almost as tall as Summit Plummet, but you come off of two big humps on your way down the slide. Cross your legs at the ankles and stiffen up, or you will have the worlds worst wedgie! :Pinkbounc

I wear contacts and mine were ruined by the force of the water upon entry. The water also screwed up my sinuses. Not to mention the famous wedgie. I did it once, but never again

I rode it back in 2004 and ifelt like i was going to fly off the whole way down and i dont think i will ride it again because of that feeling

Just curious if the above posters have much experience with water parks? I've been a few times but I might be too chicken for the Summit! :earseek:

 I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Summit Plummet!!!

I would go on it again in an instant!!! My brother and I both rode it, and the only "bad" thing we got was that enourmous wedgie!! I've been to many waterparks and can certainly say this isn't your ordinary water slide!

It is a thrill. Even if he doesn't like it (which I have no idea why he wouldn't) he can at least tell all his friends that he rode one of the tallest, fastest water slides out there!

One slide I will NEVER regret going on!!!!!

I did Slusher Gusher, never tried Summet Plummet. I loved SLusher Gusher. Got the wedgie. :cool1:

I am a water slide fanatic and this is the best slide ive ever been on....but it is scary when u are about to go.....but definetly worth the wedgie!! :earboy2:

My 15 year-old son, my partner, and I all did it and we loved it, BECAUSE we love to say we DID it, but I doubt we'll do it again. In addition to the wedgie and feeling the seems, if you don't have a well-rounded bottom, you can get bruises that last the rest of the week. My partner had them all over, from her hips to her thighs!

But, still, we DID IT! :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

it actually ripped my trunks right in half, I had to hold them on with my hand and go buy another pair

pop daddy when were you there? I think we saw you! Just kidding LOL. My DBF had this metal thing that held her bathing suit together, we still don't know where it ended up????? :confused3 :confused3

My husband and my middle son (9yo today!!) did it in June, and they loved it. My son is very small, just made 60 pounds, and he didn't have any problems with it, although I was afraid it would rip his arms and legs off!!
However, my DH's backside (upper-backside from his description?!) was sore for a couple of weeks. I'm sure they will be right back up there next year.

Summit Plummet is great. It is very fast, but it's alot of fun. As others have said there is the wedgie factor to worry about but it's well worth it. :rotfl2: My only suggestion for your boyfriend is to follow the CM's rules and keep your arms and legs crossed, AND UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES LEAN FORWARD. :earseek: I just kept my eyes closed (contact lenses) until I stopped completely. Enjoy and it's over before you know it. :cool1:

DH and I did it when we were in our mid-twenties and neither of us will do it again. DH cut his knee and finger pretty bad and I lost my sense of direction when by the time I got to the bottom. All I remember is someone telling me to hurry up and get off so that I did not get hit by the person coming down behind me. I felt like had was turned around (even though I wasn't) and could barely stand up.

Now please understand, we love waterparks, the ocean etc(we were born/raised/&live at the Jersey shore, DH was a lifeguard, both good swimmers etc) and nothing has ever bothered us like SP.

HOT

.

I actually rode it 9 times in a row with my friend once when we were little due to a bet with her dad and mine vs. us (lol) and we won needless to say...but by the end of the day our quads and hamstrings were so bruised!

But we had a blast doing it! :flower:

My DH and DS6 rode it this summer and loved it! They said that their backsides caught a little air on the way down and it only took 3 seconds to get to the bottom. They would definitely do it again! Me, I can't stand the atomic wedgie it gives you!
