Summit Plummet at BB

Okay well maybe I'll just have him focus on the good points like it's only 3 seconds long and it's really fun... :rotfl: i'll just leave out the wedgie and missing trunks part!! Either way He'll have a story to tell!!! Thanks for all the responses!!!

Yea, I liked it, but I paid for it. I'm about 6'-2" and about 245 lbs. and when I came down the water at the bottom pounded me something fierrce! Two days later, my wife says to me, "Look at your calves!" Sure enough they both had bruises on them, allthough only my mid-back and "derriere" were sore. The water really pounds you upon landing on both the big slides at BB unlike any similar slides at other water parks, IMO.

Would I go on them again? HECK YEA!!! They were still fun.

excellent ride although it is very very short.
wedgie situation does not happen here i tried spandex and they
work great as I like the Euro Look lololol :rotfl2: :cool1:

My son was 7 when we did it. He didn't hesitate for a second and wanted to go back on it again. His favorite part was collecting the loose change at the bottom of the slide. The life guard had to shoo him away.

Cross your arms and legs, close your eyes, count to 8 and you're done.

I went on it, and my butt had the worst looking bruise I have ever seen. No wedgie and yes, I would go again. Just tighten up your butt muscles for the best ride. Do not listen to the people that tell you to relax.

I posted early on in this thread that I had not done Summit Plummet, but I did it for the first time Saturday, so I figured I'd return and report.

I had said that Slusher Gusher was almost as tall. I did SG once to warm up and then did Summit Plummet. I must say, when you are on the top of the platform and you look down at Slusher Gusher, SG looks positivly pewnie. You can't even see the slide right below where you are. We had visited the Six Flags Whitewater park earlier in July and I did their big slide (Cliff Hanger, about a 90' drop) a bunch of times to get ready for Summit Plummet. I got to where I didn't have to close my eyes or hold my breath on Cliff Hanger, but I still had to do both on Summit Plummet. I gotta admit I was a little scared. :scared:

In summation, it was a blast and I'd do it again in a minute. Unfortunately, it was a Saturday in July, so by the time I had done it once the wait was about an hour long and stayed that way for the rest of the day. There was too much other fun stuff to do to wait that long. Happly, I sustained no injuries and was not sore at all. I'm 6'4" & 210 lbs and stayed tense at the bottom and slid way past where my sister had stopped. Ha, I win! ;)

PS: By keeping my body tense, I avoided getting the dreaded wedgie!

I did SP a couple of years ago and will definatly do it again. I don't really remember how bad the wedgie was but I know I got one. I also got a big bruise on my buttox and it hurt to go to the bathroom for about a week. I would have done it again but the was pretty long. The view was amazing. I could MGM, Epcot, and maybe AK.

In 2002 my husband brother and I rode it (in December... it was chilly!). The absolute worst part is that first plunge over the top. You cannot see the bottom and you feel like you are pushing yourself over a cliff! :scared: But, after that, it's a BLAST! You do get a super wedgie, and my butt cheeks were sore for a day from the water pressure. But... that did not stop us from riding it twice! The secret is close your eyes (for contacts), clench your butt cheeks as tight as you can (to prevent water enema), and scream all the way down! You will gladly tell your friends and family you survived it! I personally was way more scared on TOT then Summit Plummet.

I honestly don't enjoy the wegie factor. The one at TL is bad enough, but Summit Plummet hurts. :scared: I had bruises and a scratch, which sort-of ruined it for me. I love thrill rides, but not when I have injuries afterwards.

If you've never done it, you might want to try it. But just be prepared that you migh have a bruise or scratch. (Or or suit might rip ;) ) Or you could be completely fine! :)

Have fun.

Thanks for all the great responses...Now I have some good tips to get DBF to ride it...And 332 days to convince him! :rotfl2: Thanks again!
