summer weight goal!!!!

YIKES.
I'm a little surprised by some of these responses.

Like Hilary, I don't really go by the number on the scale, because that can be dangerous sometimes, I just go by how good I feel.

Like right now, I've gained a bit of weight since the beginning of uniersity (freshmen 15! YIKES) and I'd like to tone it. Not necessarily "get rid of it" just tone it, so I can feel great in a bikini again and fit into my pants form last year!! :goodvibes

I plan on doing that by workouts (i've got a GREAT gym on my campus! lucky) and trying to cut down on the sweets (which is REALLY tough for me!! i have little to no will power when it comes to sweets!)

i'm not gonna go on a serious diet though, because i've got some big ol' lady parts, which i don't want to lose, and if i go on an extreme diet those'll be one of the first things to go!!

so i think working out is my best bet for a great body & a great attitude.

I love chocolate and sugar. It is going to be hard for me. I am in good shape, but I have a family history of diabetes, and I really wanna reduce my chances.

For me i'm a dancer and all and i cant do some of the things that the other girls can do because of my weight since i weigh 110 i want to weigh 90

I am a performer, worrying about college auditions, worrying about that first impression...not to mention my upcoming vacations. (Bikini time...ugh)

However I was never advised to limit my weight loss to a number. If you limit yourself to weighing 90, you will never be happy, not even when you hit 90. I have seen many girls fail using the "magic number" method of losing weight.

Your a dancer, you know how to exercize, how to eat right. If you try your hardest I am sure you will lose a few inches, and feel good about yourself. But please please be careful about that magic number.

I am trying to gain 20 pounds of muscle by next summer. Right now I am 5'9" and 145 and need to gain weight for football. I am hoping to hit somewhere around there of muscle and no fat. I am playing basketball right now so I have to lift on my own time but in the spring we have a weight training and we run too.

I'm 5'6 and 144 and I just lost 3 lbs this week! :]

I guess I wouldn't mind losing 15 more lbs?

Although some of you may think I sound chubby, my bmi is healthy, so I don't really care. I'm not worried... as long as I'm only losing weight for apperance issues and not health reasons, I don't usually take it to seriously.

When I want to lose weight, I just try to eat reasonably healthy (REMEMBER TO EAT BREAKFAST!) and do some excersise. This week, each day I ate three meals and one snack, did 30 leg lifts with weights on my legs, did 100 sit-ups, and lifted arm weights 60 times. Granted, they only weighed like 5 lbs each =P.

I wouldn't mind having a flatter stomach, I really want a six pack, I already have the top row of it, lol.

Disneydance, I do not want to appear bossy, and it's your life, not mine, but unless your 4'10.5 or shorter, 90 lbs is not a healthy weight. I am also a dancer, and being that thin is not going to make you better. Actually, it will probably have the opposite effect. If you do not eat and still excersice regulary, you will not be able to do the moves to your full potential because you will be so tired since that is not a proper way to treat your body. I'm just trying to look out for you, because you could literally end up in the hospital by getting that thin.:guilty:

A good friend of mine was anorexic at one point. It's horrible watching someone turn that way. She constantly looked tired... she always had huge bags under her eyes. She was in the hospital for a month. She's better now, but I bet if you asked her, she probably strongly regrets that part of her life. Don't do that to yourself.

I want to lose like....7-10 pounds.

In meh legs. :'(

They are FAT.

I'm even embarrassed to wear shorts.

I wear jeans. Even when it's boiling.

Right now i weight about 90.

Are you kidding me?
You're not fat if you weigh 90 pounds.

110 down to 90? I'm used to kg's where that might make sense but really...

In reply to thinking your legs are fat and you only weigh 90 pounds:
The only plausable way for there to be any large accumulation of fat there is if the rest of your body was close to skeletal, I don't think that's the case and even if it is; don't go and harm yourself by trying to skinny your legs :)

Guess I must be morbidly obese at 165 pounds then :lmao:
But I plan to get that down to 135, where I will only be obese

I want to lose about 28 pounds before december 2008.
Which is a reasonable amount of time xD
And when I do lose that weight...I want to keep that weight off.

I completely cut myself away from all soda.
Except yesterday after the empire state building...I raced my friend up all thsoe stairs and I was really thristy so I took a sip of my friend's pepsi. Then when we got the the restaraunt for lunch, I bought a really big water bottle =)

Well, we are teenagers and like it or not Teenager tend to care about what they look like and what other people think of them.

yes. it may be sad but i care a lot about what i look like and what people think about me. i know its bad but at my age thats life. i cant help it.

I don't wanna lose weight.
I'm happy where I am.
Although, I would like to tone my stomach a little bit...it's too flabby for my liking :D haha

Sux when you understand why you think irrationally but can't help it anyway =(

I am 5'3" and I weigh roughly 160lbs. I am a weighlifter and a thrower so I have a large proportion of muscle to fat. I'd like to lose my gut (I have a smallish one right now) and my thighs, but that's about it.
