Have you heard any more on the dress situation? Or did I miss the update on that?
This was a GRAND sandwich, too right! It was hard to know where to start. It was served open-faced and had hot ham, turkey and bacon with a boursin cheese sauce and fried onion straws. It was the sort of sandwich that had to be eaten with a fork and knife, as there was no way you could pick this baby up. The first piece was heavenly, the cheese sauce was beautiful, not too cheesy (which I would have hated) more like a mild cheese and very thick. The ham, turkey and bacon were all high quality and the fried onion straws were what sealed the deal. These straws, in my opinion are a brilliant invention and if anyone can tell me how you make these, I would be very grateful. They totally rock!
There was no way we could eat dessert but our waiter was a sweetheart and brought us out some chocolate fondue, on the house. This included, pineapple, banana, marshmallow, strawberries and of course dark chocolate ganache.
Steven and I retreated upstairs and I immediately asked Steven to get me out of my dress. No, purely for comfort purposes! Although I loved my dress, it was such a relief to be free! The corset was great, but it had been squeezing my organs from the moment I ate. I figured I might need my liver and kidneys later on, so it had to come off.
Both finally relaxed, we lay on the bed as husband and wife for the very first time. We were both exhausted. We talked for a while about our wedding day and how lucky we had been that everything had turned out so well. We set the alarm for 3.45, just in case, and I whispered how much I loved him. He reached over, kissed me on the forehead and echoed my words. In each others arms, we soon fell sound asleep
