Summer & Steven's Fairytale Wedding TR, 20th Aug SBP Baby Pics!!!

ampooh - Thank you very much, glad you're enjoying it.

WithDisneySpirit - I was aware that the countries had some input into building there lands, however as I mentioned later on, I don't think it's a necessarily accurate representation. Not that I don't think it's good, but I mention the UK in particular as I live here. It only represents a very small part, i.e posh area in London. Obviously they do not have the room to represent a whole country in it's entirety, so I feel they have done quite well for the most part.
Glad you're enjoying my TR:goodvibes

MistressOfAllEvil - Yes, the pixie dust begins to fall by the bucket full...
As Meryl said, The Boardwalk area is literally 2 minutes behind SBP, it takes about 5 minutes to walk all the way along. You will easily get loads of informal pics on The Boardwalk on the way back to your limo!

meryll - You must be away now, so I hope you are having a wonderful time.
Thanks for reading along with my wedding TR and I can't wait to read your TR when you get back.

Hayley - I agree with you wholeheartedly about the UK Pavilion, it's nice but not very accurate.
WOW, the wedding pavilion, that would be beautiful. At the last minute I did wonder about moving our wedding to there, but as there was only the 3 of us it seemed such a big expense. Can't wait to see your wedding plans, whenever they may be...

figmentfan814 - Thank you, i am posting loads more pics in the next instalments...

DisneyObsession - Thank you very much, when I showed Steven your comment he just rolled his eyes, he hates getting his pic taken:lmao:

naynay80 - I think that song says it all. Apparently my wedding coordinator even had that song playing at her wedding.

Iluffyou - Unfortuantely it has to end sometime. Steven said I should maybe just keep up a daily diary when my TR ends and share it with you all. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't find that nearly as interesting though:)

TheCharmedOne - Thank you, I am so touched by the amount of people that are enjoying my TR, I had no idea I would enjoy writing it so much.

alisonswonderland - Yeah, that is one of my favourites too, I just love the perspective.

Tinkerfairy - I have sent you a PM regarding the video, hope you like it.

HarbinsMom - I originally wanted Sunset Pointe but it's not available in the summer months because of the heat. It is a beautiful choice. I LOVE the pictures of us on the beach, they are definitely my favourites.
Yes, we did have an MK shoot and I will be posting pictures of that over the weekend, it is so worth it!!!

desiab - Awww, how sweet, you can always try planning a VR;) I have already talked Steven into it, for at least 10 years, if not 5:lmao:

momofbride - Thank you, Steven and I are truly happy and it was the best decison we have ever made. We have some beautiful memories.

angel*lady - Thank you so much. My next instalment has a selection of the beach photos, you can see that I had a difficult time just narrowing down the ones to post, let alone print. I wish I could write this TR forever as I am enjoying it so much.

Michelle - I wondered the same thing. I would love to order the same cake, but smaller for our anniversary, if we go back next year of course;) I'm sure I've heard whisperings that this is possible.
Aww, that's so sweet that you introduced us, tell him a HI from us  I admit I watch that video every day, I love it.

So we continued up The Boardwalk and reached a little area that I know Randy has taken photos in before. I think I surprised Randy by calling these shots by the names of the brides I remembered having them.

Our champagne shot with us in the distance is the ‘Maggie’ shot, I remember telling Steven, “Oooh, he’s doing the Maggie shot, the Maggie shot” totally excited!

Our photo booth shot was the ‘Jen’ shot:

and this shot was the ‘Christine’ shot:

I told Randy all this and I suspect he thought I was a bit nuts. I don’t think he realizes just how much his artistic talent is showcased on these forums.

It was almost 11.15am and I was getting a bit concerned about getting to The Grand Floridian. We had lunch booked at Citricos at 12.15 but I was determined to get my beach shots.

Randy captured a few quick shots as we departed The Boardwalk:

At this point Tanis disappeared. I have no idea where she went or when she left us. My mom had been standing with the cake and a bag given to us by Disney Weddings, while we got some last minute pictures. I knew Tanis had another wedding that day so I assumed she must have been in a hurry. I was disappointed that I never got the chance to thank her for her time and effort she had put into my wedding from the beginning.

I had worked with Tanis since September 2006 and she had always been very helpful even when I changed my mind back and forth. Her email responses were quite prompt and she even telephoned me a few times before the wedding to check how I was getting on. She always did her best for me and made sure our wedding day went perfectly.

Disney Floral was also outstanding. I had made last minute cake changes; colors etc and I changed my bouquet 10 days before my wedding. They did everything perfectly. I would advise sending pictures of your vision if you can, and stress how important certain colors are for you. I sent pictures of everything and I was not disappointed.

Stan and Bonnie came up to me and said it had been fun working with us. He said that our sneak peek would be up that night and he would be in contact about our DVD.
Stan and Bonnie were fantastic. Stan had called me 3 weeks before the wedding and I had a very long conversation with him. I had stressed how much I preferred journalistic style editing and I opted to go for the stylized edit. He had never done a stylized edit for an intimate bride before, mainly because there was never enough footage to work with.
He suggested booking him for another hour before the wedding so he could go to SBP early and get some shots of The Boardwalk and Sea Breeze Point. He also came to POFQ and got some pre ceremony footage. He commented that he managed to get more footage with our wedding than he has done for some custom weddings.

The stylized edit consists of quick cutting style. Steven and I are definitely not traditional and I think this shows in the style of wedding photographs we have. I was determined to have a video that reflected our style too. Stan and I agreed to have a stylized pre ceremony, classic ceremony and stylized retrospective. I am so happy with the sneak peek, if our whole video turns out like that, I will be ecstatic.
Bonnie was extremely helpful and was there to get me into my dress and fix my jewellery; this is above and beyond in my opinion. Stan was hilarious, no one has ever mentioned before just how funny he is. He was great to work with.

I highly recommend using STVS, I had my reservations as the demo DVD I was sent doesn’t capture the look I was going for. After having discussed it in depth with him, I have no reservations, even judging the sneak peek alone; it’s what I had hoped for.

I am so glad we decided to splurge and get footage of our wedding. There are so many things that I can’t remember, the ceremony was a bit of a blur, and there were many things I didn’t get to see. When I view this video, it’s going to bring it all flooding back, and the hopes and dreams I had in that moment, I will feel again. It is something that words on paper cannot capture, regardless of how heartfelt they are. I didn’t know I would feel this strongly about it, but I have watched that Sneak Peek every day, and it takes me, every time.

We said our goodbyes to Bonnie and Stan and Randy said he would meet us in the lobby of The Grand Floridian.

It was time to get in our limo, Steven and my mom got in first as Randy wanted to get a picture of my flowers out the window:

We drove off at 11.25am. I quickly touched up my make up with my own powder compact. Steven grabbed water from the ice bucket and my mom was telling us how many brilliant pictures she managed to take.

We arrived in record timing, it was now 11.35am. Steven tipped the limo driver $30 and we made our way into the lobby.

The Grand Floridian was beautiful, I find it difficult to describe just how beautiful this place was, but later on in the trip I hoped we managed to capture it in our pictures.

Steven and I were going to be staying here for 7 nights once my mom went back to the UK, I had originally not been interested in The Grand Floridian; I thought it would be too stuffy for me, but that first impression was unfounded as I walked through the door. Everyone flocked to wish us Congratulations and complete strangers were acting like we were old friends. It was great. Little girls were in awe and kept asking their mom if I was a princess. It felt wonderful.
While we waited mom wanted to get a few pictures of us. I hoped Randy wouldn’t be too long as I was so aware the time was ticking on.

Randy arrived at 11.45am, so I really only had him booked until 12, I started to panic as I really wanted staircase shots and beach shots and I didn’t think 15 minutes would be enough to capture all that. Still we decided to do the best we could. We told Mom to wait for us in the lobby, so she found a comfy chair while we toured The Grand Floridian:

Randy took us outside and captured these:

On our way to the beach, Randy thought we could get some great pictures beside these palm trees, he was right:

to be continued…

These three shots are variations of the ‘Tiffany shot’ a signature picture I have loved FOREVER!

We moved on to the beach where Randy photoshopped most of my favourites:

We walked further along the beach for randy to get more shots, he didn’t give us any direction here, just told us to do whatever we wanted, and it made for some good photographs:

Steven tried to help me with my veil as I kept standing on it, he almost took it completely off:

I love the following picture so much; it is by far my favourite, I use the photoshopped one in my signature:

gfb10.jpg

It is a moment we could never recreate if we tried and Randy captured it perfectly.

I also love this pic randy snapped as we left the beach, it is the quintessential Steven and I:

I thought after doing the beach pictures we would be finished for the afternoon. It was now 12.15 and we were already going to be late for our reservation. Randy suggested getting some pictures beside the pool and if Randy suggested more pictures I didn’t want to pass them up. I was however getting very tired and hot and I really did want to sit down, so I did:

We moved on to the marina and Randy got this amazing shot, I didn’t even realise I had this one until I looked at the CD:

It was now 12.30 and we were 15 minutes late for lunch. Randy stood and talked to us for 5 minutes and he told us he had taken over 1000 photos! We arranged to meet him again, that evening, at 9pm after our dinner at Victoria and Alberts. We were hoping to get some night time shots in our wedding attire.

We said goodbye to Randy and rushed inside hoping that Citricos would understand…

Coming up…

Lunch at Citricos, our first official Pixie Dust and back to POFQ.

I love your pictures!

It makes me excited about using Randy come February.

OMG! Your photos are gorgeous!! You look stunning in them all - you are a model at heart hun. I can't believe we still have the rest of your fabulous day, a GF stay, a DCL adventure, US and lots, lots more to go!! :cool1: Kx

I also love this pic randy snapped as we left the beach, it is the quintessential Steven and I:

:lmao: This is the quintessential Summer and Steven shot... only in reverse! It's like the walking away shots that peppered your TR in the begining.

All of your pictures are beautiful. And you are beautiful. And you're making me sooooo happy that I hired Randy to do our photography. :woohoo:

Thanks for another great installment. Can wait for the first pixie dusting (dumping??)

Your photo's are amazing, they all look fabulous, can't wait to hear more.

Summer, your pictures are gorgeous. I will say the picture in your sig (the left one) is my fav. The GF is beautiful. Last time when Dh and I were at WDW we went by the Wedding Pavlivan (in the monorail) at GF and I told my DH that's where we are doing our vow renewal. But I have a long time to wait, it's for our 25th. He justs laughs. Again the pictures all of them are gorgegous. Was it not awesome that everyone wished you congrats. That must have been cute to see the little girls, you were a princess though so they were right. Can't wait for more.

Right chick, I'm just packing my last minute bits and bobs then we'll be getting in bed for an early night.
Looking forward to finishing your TR when we get back, the photos really are beautiful.
(Think I have scared the bf now by making him look at them all!)
See you in a couple of weeks! :yay:

Summer, I just caught up with your TR now. I am amazed. Your writing skills and Randy's photos are both so beautiful! Just WOW! :goodvibes

All I can say is WOW, your pictures are truly incredible. Thank you for sharing!

Wow!!!! your photographs are gorgeous. I am loving every minute of your special day...or should I say weeks.

I sometimes dream of getting a Disney VR since we didn't have a wedding (I cancelled ours and got married at home from all the stress)

You look beautiful in the dress. Your bouquet is one of the prettiest I have ever seen, I agree with Randy for sure.

tapping foot now for the next installment and pixie dust

You were right. Those beach pictures are amazing. I want to thank you for taking the time to answer each of us as we comment on your day. I can't wait to hear about the Pixie Dust. Sounds interesting!

Just caught up...there is nothing more to say that WOW! Your wedding day must have been wonderful...it surely comes across that way in your TR. I don't think enough can be said for your photographs...they are amazing. Randy is phenomenal and you too are so photogenic. This TR is amazing...looking forward to the GF review; this is also a place that my DH has no interest in staying at, but we stayed at Poly and passing by it every day made me interested!
