Wedding Day, Part 2
I walked along the balcony of Port Orleans French Quarter with my mom close behind me. I felt terrific despite my make up concerns. The limo driver was very nice and as I walked down the stairs he uttered a WOW, Im sure he says this to all the girls, but it felt nice all the same.
There were a lot of passers by and they all stopped to wish me Congratulations, it was nice to feel like such a Princess, even if it was going to be for only a short time.
Getting in the limo was not going to be easy. The limo driver advised sitting down first, then mom would have to help me get my dress in, I was then to swivel round and scooch over. Mom would get in after me.
Here is a shot of the limo, it was gorgeous:
It was hilarious trying to take my huge dress in after me, and I so wish it could have been caught on camera.
The interior was beautiful, black leather seats and drinks on ice; this was the first time I had ever been in a limo. My mom asked me if I wanted a drink, but I was aware I had lip gloss on and didnt want to have to reapply, so I declined.
The journey was short; going from POFQ to The Boardwalk only took us 10 minutes at the most. I was told by the limo driver that I needed to stay in the car so they could make sure Steven had already left. He brought out his walkie talkie and I could hear Tanis on the other line, shouting DO NOT LET HER OUT, I REPEAT, DO NOT LET HER OUT
I started giggling; it was like some military operation, this was my sort of thing!
I could barely make out anything through the tinted windows, but a few minutes later I could see Tanis coming towards me and Rev Miller waiting in the wings. The car door opened and Tanis popped her head in. She told me that Randy wanted to get some pictures of me coming out of the limo, the Rev was here to meet me and Steven was waiting at Sea Breeze Point already.
Now I am going to post a mixture of black and white and color pictures, just for variety, plus I LOVE black and white shots.
Here I am getting out of the limo:
I finally get to meet Rev Miller and he is exactly as I imagined. He shakes my hand softly and tells me he has already met Steven. He tells me to put my trust in him and he will give us a beautiful ceremony that we will remember forever. I am ecstatic, he is so friendly, with such an infectious smile, I immediately feel at ease and I am so happy that we chose Randall Miller.
I love these shots, another of Randys artistic types:
Finally my dress is sorted and we all make our way into The Boardwalk Resort:
Tanis leads me over so I can collect my bouquet. I am praying that it is a beautiful as I imagined, it is, in fact its better. The colors are so vibrant and so me, I LOVE them:
A close up of my bouquet. My colors were orange, yellow and burgundy calla lilies, with 10 crystal Mickeys, gold ribbon and 6 crystal pins down the stem.
My mom also loved her corsage. She initially wanted one to pin to her chest but I think the one on her wrist looks much better:
Randy decided it was time to get some shots of my dress. Tanis said she loved my dress; she thought that silk was the correct material to pick for a Florida wedding, esp in the summer. Randy loved my flowers and said it was the best bouquet he had seen, I think thats why my flowers were in nearly every single pic!!
I moved over and straightened out my dress so Randy could get a clear shot:
It was time to move and head on down to Sea Breeze Point. Randy went on ahead and I picked up my dress and followed Tanis to the elevator. She told me that Steven was very nervous and I expected him to be. I knew he had been worrying that people may ask him questions and he claimed he didnt know the answer to anything as I had been the one doing most of the organising. She told me the violinist had struck up a conversation with him and they were now talking quite happily.
We exited the elevator and started our walk down the Boardwalk, stopping every now and then for some pictures:
I love the angle on this picture:
We were finally there and Randy ran over to get a picture of Steven patiently waiting:
