Summer session CP for newbies

Hey all.
I'm a college junior who loves Disney. I really want to the CP but the only time I could go would be the summer. I'm a television production major so I'm a little weary of getting stuck all summer doing quick service or matenience. But I think it'd be a great experience anyway and I'm a little torn.
Any one who's done the summer CP have advice? Are there oppurtunities to move up to something more major specific at all? What about getting a job through the CP for after college? When I went to the world a few weeks ago it was SO hot and SO crowded (the DDP had just started) I imagine it would be even wores in the middle of summer.
Advice?

I'm not on the summer-CP, but I am almost positive that you can do the regular CP after you finish college. I plan on doing it right after I graduate.

Joanna ... yes, you can do the CP after you graduate, but you must apply while you're still a student, so it'd have to be the semester after you graduate.
