summer plans for your kids?

I think I've got the summer camp thing finalized. 12 year old (who will be in 8th grade next fall) is going back to the day camp she attended last summer, to do the teen travel program. this year they're going to Hershey, Dorney Park and Niagara Falls.

10 year old (who stars 6th grade in september) doesn't want to go back to that camp because they don't have a travel program for her age group. so she's going to another camp, where her travel program will take her to Hershey, Montreal and Baltimore.

they'll spend two weeks visiting their father as well. and I'm trying to plan a vacation for the three of us as well.

they really would have liked to to sleep away camp, but they have to be home on weekends -- their father won't agree to sleep away camp. so the travel camp is ideal -- trips away from home during the week, home on weekends.

DS11 will have a mix of 3wks summer day camp, 3 mini-vacas (2 are 3nights, 1 is 6nights) and he'll have some time to hang out at home (some days alone, some days w/mom)

Beginning of summer starts off slow but that's ok cos school will have just gotten out. Summer ends slow but again that's ok because after that it's back to school.

well, since were doing year round we only have a few weeks holidays. As of right now Memorial day will be Oregon coast camping again ( YAY my favourite trip of the year!!!) and also to Seattle on that trip to see my brothers family.

WE will be going to see my mom Im sure since shes retiring this year she will have some extra time for us to come visit.
Other than that, depending on when dh gets promoted ( and where) we will have to go to check out the town.

Its going to be a busy summer!!

DD17 will be working and then going off to college mid August..

DS12 will be playing Little League All stars...maybe doing some local baseball and soccer camps. He may be playing at the Sports Complex in Disney over labor day.

DD8 will be doing a local art day camp.

Hopefully we will be spending many, many days at the beach!

DD is going to Space Camp, this is her third year and they are going to Houston this year. She will be gone for 5 nights on that one. In June/July we are flying to Orlando and she is doing Zooventure at Busch Gardens in Tampa. School starts again the middle of August. It will be a short summer.

If her attitude doesn't improve, my 13 year old is looking at 3 months of hard labor!

a day road trip to Six Flags over Texas with bf and lots of action movies

DD and I will be doing Parent/Tot swimming for 1 week in June and 1 week in July.

We are going camping for a couple of nights Memorial Weekend.

And I think I might take some golf lessons starting in June.
