I'm a little disappointed that I haven't received my pkg yet. This was my first time doing an exchange and I would have hoped that everyone sent their pkgs by the deadline. I sent my pkg over a month ago!

I still haven't received a reply from my recipient yet, but I've also not noticed her name as sending a package out either. Too bad

I have not received my package either nor has my friend contacted me to let me know if there is a problem. I have contacted the person I bought for so she knows I have not forgotten her and that I just need to get the package to the Post Office! I agree with the person who mentioned it is her first time with a swap and she wanted it to go well. I am sure things will work out (eventually) for everyone.

DH just mailed my package today from the Post Office to my summer friend in Texas.

When was the mail by date for this exchange?

UrsulasMyHero-when you see a sign up for an exchange, you read through the thread to see what is involved. There are many different types of exchanges-there are ones that go from $5.00-$25.00 per exchange. You would pm the organizer your name and other info. that is being requested. At the end of the sign up date, you would get a name and address of someone else, and you would then send them an exchange. When you have sent and also recieved your exchange, you would then post on the sent/recieved thread posted by the organizer.

Is this the summer vacation exchange? If it is, then participants had a month to shop and get their packages out. Looks like packages were expected to be received by May 15th.



"The idea is to send items to your exchange pal that will help them get ready for their upcoming summer vacation For example, if your buddy is going to the beach, you might include a bottle of sun block. If your buddy has photography as a hobby, you might send them a photo album to put their pictures in. Anyway, you get the idea. The spending limit is $25.00 not including shipping.

I will collect names until April 8th. I will randomly select your buddy and will send you your pal's name and corresponding information no later than April 11th. You will have until May 11th to shop for your pal and to get there packages out. Packages should be received no later than May 15th. "

Really hope that DH the cynic, is not proven right when he said that this is a scam. I told him that disboarders would never do such a thing!!

I'm still waiting a month and half later for my pal to say she got her package, but then again, she hasn't mailed one yet either so I'm not holding my breath
