Summer AP Discounts announced April 20th

As it turns out, my GP package with a 1 bedroom at BLT w/ MKV including dining was actually cheaper than the AP discount! My total w/ the extra one day tickets was 2933 and the AP discount was 3005! She said the GP Discount was 40% off, thus the difference. Go figure.

On a side note, we have taken several trips this year, so the AP was worth it. However, I'm not sure I will get one in the future. Seems like I have had better luck with the GP discounts, and with a family of five, we have to get a bigger room (due to Disney's requirements, as well as, my sanity)!

Just got off the phone with CM- new ap rates are out and are extended through August 13th(I think) It is just shy of 8/16 which is what I needed. I forgot to ask what the details were. Sorry about that.

No. I just checked too. That site is never up to date.

That's it! I'm so angry. I already have a GP rate of 30% off. I've been planning this trip for years, looking at the GP and AP rates. Of course, now that I'm actually going, no good rate. I'd even take 35%. But for me, there is no good reason to get an AP with no bigger discount.

Yeah, mine didn't work about well either. The AP rate with dining actually cost $100 less, but I'd be losing the 4 two day tickets. Kept my pin/free dining rate

I was planning to upgrade to an AP during my May/June trip if the new rates were better than the GP rates for my dates, but they aren't! We are doing a split stay and I was hoping to use the AP discount for the 2nd part of my stay. I'll just keep what I have. I'm disappointed though!!

I've been holding a one bedroom MK view at BLT since September hoping to add a discount before our August trip. I thought the AP rates were finally going to be my pixie dust. I just got of the phone with Disney and the CM said there are no AP rates available at BLT. Are you kidding me? My 3 day surprise for my family is slowing becoming a big disappointment. Was anyone else able to get a room at BLT? MK view? I'm totally bummed right now. Should I cancel or wait and see what happens? Is it possible that some AP rooms will be released for BLT?

While I would have liked to see the AP rates be a little better (they usually are better than the GP rate) at least I am able to drop the tickets on my 2 packages I had booked with the GP rate. So my 2 packages (one with me and son and one with me son and hubby) are now $435 cheaper. So that helps.

I was hoping to stay at the POR for the 2nd part of my trip but with the lower discount % that won't happen this time.

I found a whole lot of nothing anywhere but SSR and OKW. As in the ones no one else wants to stay at. Not too happy right now.

Just got off the phone and applied Ap rate to existing reservation 7/22-7/27 Poly CL
7-27- 8-1 BC Deluxe Room and both were still available. Although the AP discounts are not what they used to be, I am happy with whatever I can get.

You need to have an annual pass, either now or by the time you check in.

I didn't need a code. I just told them I wanted to book under the AP rate.
Does anyone know when the website will be updated?

The website says it'll shut down tomorrow from 1-6 am so I'm assuming it'll be tomorrow at 6 a.m.

While I would have liked 40% (like the pin codes) I'll gladly take the 35%!

I was able to apply the AP discount to both our 2 night Poly gv cl stay and our 15 night BC gv cl stay! Not only did we save over $400 I was able to add the dining plan which I couldn't do with the GP rate because I didn't need tickets (already have an AP).

just called and had the AP rate appied to my AKL reservation for july. again, not as great of a discount as i had hoped for, but better than nothing. i was able to drop the 1 day 1 park tickets that i had to have under the old GP discount that i had booked, but i didn't really get to see those savings. reason? apparently there are no savanah view rooms under the AP discount only standard and Arusha (sp) whatever that is. the CP said it was like savanah view but more animal viewing. i guess i have to take that as i don't want to stay at AKL and not be able to look out my window + see animals. the Arusha room is more $ so even with dropping the tickets and the AP discount i only saved @300. better than nothing, but i am dispointed a bit.
