Summer-anybody enjoy it, even with the heat

I'm loving it! We've been eating on the patio most evening and with the big ole trees surrounding us, it's comfortable and breezy. There is nothing I like better than sitting out back with a cold drink, listening to some jazz music under our twinkling lights! Yeah, it gets hot during the day but I'll take that over the 3 feet of snow we had just a few months ago!!

Summer is my favorite time of the year. I hate the cold so give me the hot weather and I'm happy. I am one of the ones that doesn't mind going to Disney in August either.

I know I was complaining about the heat, it was more of a worried complaint-ac breaking, electric bill, lack of well water....just a bunch of what ifs. This heat we just had was uncommon.

Love love love the summertime! In fact, as bad as the 100+ degree days were, I wish I could bottle them up to use in January and February!!

I am okay with it - just not okay that the temperatures have been high enough where it really isn't safe to take my dogs on walks. I think freezing at work (my office area is so cold that my fingernails are usually bluish purple and I have to drink hot chocolate to keep warm) helps me a lot because once I get out to the parking garage, I can honestly drive home with the windows down and be okay. Granted, it is rare because I usually end up being a smoker or next to a diesel truck! But, I much prefer being on the warm side than being freezing cold. Glad to know I am not the only one!

I'm more of a spring and autumn girl, and prefer the cold of winter over the humidity of the summer. If it could just be sunshine-and-blue-sky, about 75-80 degrees and no humidity, that would be perfect. But when it's in the 90's and extremely humid I just feel like I have no energy to do anything.

i love summer no matter what. the green grass and leaves make me happy. nothing worse than dead grass and leafless trees. love those long sunny days. i will say that the humidity does not thrill me but as long as there is a/c i am ok!

I am loving summer! I'd rather it be 100 degrees than 40! There's something about this time of year that's so calming, even though some not so great things have happened.

I love every minute of it! We have at least 6 months of cold miserable weather, and WAY too much snow.

I will take this heat ANYDAY, ALLDAY! And it has been a great week of it. However, the storms now me out. I HATE THEM.

Summer is my favorite, I love being outside, I love wearing flip flops. I love being able to wear my hair in a messy bun and not worry about my ears getting cold.

We just got a volleyball set for our pool, I totally schooled my DH today.

What I am loving about summer is that dh and I have been enjoying our swing on the back patio lots of mornings. A cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night--why didn't we find a stand for this thing years ago??

On the negative side, my hair looks like crap in the humidity.

I love that my kids are home, I like the fruits such as figs, I like that my flowers are blooming and all the little country critters frolicking outside. I do not like another single thing about summertime, I don't do heat well and would prefer an air conditioned bubble. My favorite seasons are the Fall because of all the beautiful colors and smells (leaves burning) and Spring because of the new signs of life everywhere and getting full of dirt as I put in the new years annuals. My third favorite is winter because i adore Christmas, the snow and especially surprise snow days with my whole family home drinking hot chocolate and watching movies but there are more dreary days than goodies which is why it's in 3rd.

Love it! Halter tops, shorts, sandals, swimming, sleeping with the windows open and the sound of the crickets outside. Barbecues, vacations, kids out of school, long days, cold drinks, my birthday - love, love, love summer!!

I, too, love summer. It has always represented a more laidback, carefree time. The days are long, the kids are out of school (I work in a school), we're not on a rigid schedule, etc. I love being outside as much as possible and even though it's been unbearably hot, floating in the pool works.

I am also inexplicably drawn to the ocean. Thank God we live in a beach town--I feel so fortunate to be so close to beach and couldn't imagine having it otherwise.

AMEN! I love, love, love the summer and the heat! I love walking out the door and feeling the warm air on my skin. This is a terrific summer! One of the best I can remember. I am also so tired of people complaining about the heat. It's summer, kick back, go outside and enjoy it!
