Suites on DCL?

In the suites (category 2) does anyone know if they have flowers in the room, fruit basket, etc?

A friend of mine has this booked for a special occasion and I want to send something for her to find in the room but don't want to order something that is already going to be there

I didn't want to do the stateroom celebration because I think it will get lost in that large room

There were no fresh flowers in either of 2 cruises in a Cat 3 but we did have a fresh fruit bowl upon arrival for both cruises.

You didn't get the arrangement? Huh, I had a small plant/foral arrangement (fresh) in my Cat. 3 twice before, along with the fruit bowl. It's not like a big bouquet of flowers, just a small arrangement, but I remember it distinctly both times.

Joan, if your friend drinks alcohol, you might consider sending a bottle of wine or champagne...those definitely are NOT waiting for you in the room.

We've had both floral and fruit in our cat 1 both times before.

I too would go with champagne or keepsake frame/album/water bottle type gift basket... Not food. Suites you get especially spoiled!

In the three cruises we've done (all in a Cat. 2) we have never received any type of floral arrangement. Maybe this is sometime new? The last time we cruised was in June 2004. There has been a lovely fruit basket there upon arrival and then again several times during the cruise. Each day we received some kind of treat -- the All Hands on Deck Platter, chocolate covered Strawberries, Petit Fours, chocolate chip cookies, etc. HTH

I don't like to order food items as gifts because you get so much food on a cruise. I will send a bottle of wine or champagne
