I called today to make a reservation for Poly but the suites were booked. I know someone had mentioned the Villas, but we don't want to have to rent points. Also we considered two rooms, but a suite would be just as much if not less than two rooms. Also they cannot guarantee adjoining or neighboring rooms, so that is a problem as we want to be near the kids. Has anyone stayed in a suite before at any of the deluxes? Do you have any pictures? Recommendations? Thanks in advance :)

I have not stayed in a suite, but we have stayed in a 2-bed villa at BWV. The Poly does not have villas, but the WL does (if you are wanting to stay in the MK area). We did not rent points, we booked direct through Disney. The villas run around $600/nt. for a 2 bed. It was really nice to have the large space of a villa. Since our stay a BWV, we stayed in 2 rooms at AKL this past Sept. and I can say without a doubt that we will stay in a 2 bed villa on our future Disney trips. The space, kitchen, and w/d are great. I do not like to do laundry on vacation (I do enough of it at home), but it seems that I always have at least 1 or 2 loads, so the w/d is just an added convience for me. Good luck with your decision.

I have not stayed in a suite. You don't have to rent points from anyone to stay in a DVC villa. You can get a room at any DVC resort through Disney just like you would a regular Disney hotel. You call the same number you called for the POLY and they will tell you about availability. If you stood in a DVC one or two bedroom that would be ideal with kids. You would get a full kitchen and washer/dryer in the room as well as jacuzzi, king bed, separate living room and bedrooms. We are DVC'ers with 2 kids and we are spoiled by the villas!

We stayed in a 2-bdrm suite (one king bed, 2 queen beds) at the GF on our last trip...and I disagree that two rooms would be more expensive. You can get codes and discounts on rooms, but suites are never discounted. We paid $1,500 a night...we could have gotten 2 rooms for much less than that.

I don't have any pictures, but the suite was nice and the concierge service that comes with the suites was great. Really, the suite was just 2 regular rooms connected by a small sitting area. It was not one big giant space (the way you picture suites to be, like they are in, say, a Las Vegas hotel.) In fact, it was pretty small. We really used the concierge service a lot--for breakfast, snacks, and light dinner for the kids. So that perk was great.

My recommendation to you would be to price out the various suites, and then price the cost of 2 rooms with, say, a AAA discount. As nice as our suite was, I don't think I'd do $1,500 a night again. (It is my understanding that if you have young kids in the next room, they will do their best to honor an adjoining room request.)

Good luck!

I would look into staying at a DVC Villa. They can be booked directly through Disney reservations and are generally less expensive then a deluxe hotel suite. We have stayed in 2 bdrm villas at OKW and BCV and have loved both.

WL has suites. I haven't stayed in one, but I saw it on Great Hotels!

Just doing a search at disneyworld.com, I found that these resorts have suites...GF, Poly, BC, BW, YC, CR, AKL, WL, CSR, and ASMusic. (Select your dates, and check the suites check box to see what is available for your dates.)

I actually had a chance to see some of the suites at the Poly recently and they are very nice. The two bedroom suites I saw were actually four rooms joined together.

The biggest suite they have at the Poly is actually something like 6 rooms joined together and is actually spread over two stories.

The bathroom(s) and living areas were nicely appointed. I thought - gee if I ever win the lottery, I'll stay here.

A suite will definitely be more than two rooms! I've been in or stayed in several suites at WDW, and none of them have a full kitchen, the best is a nuke and minifridge. If you want a full kitchen you'll need to rent a villa. You can rent them through CRO, you don't need to rent points.

In all honesty, I'd take the villa over most suites. Most suites don't have a jetted soaking tub, and non of them have a washer/dryer.

We were either looking at 2 rooms at Poly and each was $600 -ish per night. The suite at CR was $1100/night. At least that is what the CM told me. We are going w/2 rooms at Poly but the kids are teens so I doubt they will fulfill the request of our connecting rooms :(

We are also on Concierge level, never done that before so it should be exciting! Thanks for all of your help
