Also we considered two rooms, but a suite would be just as much if not less than two rooms. Also they cannot guarantee adjoining or neighboring rooms, so that is a problem as we want to be near the kids. Has anyone stayed in a suite before at any of the deluxes? Do you have any pictures? Recommendations? Thanks in advance
We stayed in a 2-bdrm suite (one king bed, 2 queen beds) at the GF on our last trip...and I disagree that two rooms would be more expensive. You can get codes and discounts on rooms, but suites are never discounted. We paid $1,500 a night...we could have gotten 2 rooms for much less than that.
I don't have any pictures, but the suite was nice and the concierge service that comes with the suites was great. Really, the suite was just 2 regular rooms connected by a small sitting area. It was not one big giant space (the way you picture suites to be, like they are in, say, a Las Vegas hotel.) In fact, it was pretty small. We really used the concierge service a lot--for breakfast, snacks, and light dinner for the kids. So that perk was great.
My recommendation to you would be to price out the various suites, and then price the cost of 2 rooms with, say, a
AAA discount. As nice as our suite was, I don't think I'd do $1,500 a night again. (It is my understanding that if you have young kids in the next room, they will do their best to honor an adjoining room request.)
Good luck!
