Suicide Attempt? Warning, very disturbing.

How awful. How very awful.

A young man one town over just committed suicide this way recently. He lit himself on fire and started walking down a road where early morning commuters were driving by. Horrific!

This is so very sad and brings back horrible memories for me. My mother committed suicide this very way. Unfortunately she survived 6 horrifying days after setting herself on fire. I remember visiting her in the hospital and didn't even recognize her. She was burnt over 80% of her body. I was so ashamed of how she died that I kept it a secret from friends for more than 20 years. I had been married for 6 years to my DH before I could reveal it to him and my children were grown before I told them.

I pray that this young girl suffers no more and her family finds peace.

You poor, poor thing. I am so sorry this happened. What a traumatic thing for anyone to have to deal with.

Very sad story. My heart goes to the poster whose mother committed suicide this way. My prayers and thoughts go out to the girl's family. I suffer from mental illness and a lot of people with mental illness mask what is going on with them and sometimes they don't understand that they have mental illness.

Yes, I had 4 with my 1st marriage, I then married a man with 6 kids and we adopted our granddaughter when she was an infant. (She's the cutie in my signature)
