Which do you suggest?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We will be arriving at WDW on July 4th. Which park do you suggest going to to watch the best July 4th show? We know they will all be crowded but wondered which would be worth fighting crowds for. Thanks for any help you can give us.

The fireworks at the Magic Kingdom are the very best I have ever seen ANYWHERE. But - the crowd was the very worst I have ever seen ANYWHERE. I would suggest the MK fireworks, but watch them from the train station or the beach at the Polynesian - anywhere but Main Street, and especially not near the hub. If you'd really like to avoid the crowd, head over to Saratoga Springs and watch the fireworks across the lake at Downtown Disney. If you sit by the quiet pool, they have a pre-show party and play the soundtrack during the show - and you can watch it from the hottub!!

You better check to see if there are still fireworks at DTD. I don't know where you're staying, if an Epcot resort, then definitely Epcot for the walk back to your room. I would probably pick Epcot anyway because it's larger and maybe easier to negotiate with the crowd. That's where we spent NYE and saw marvelous fireworks. We chatted with people who had been there for the 4th and were happy with those fireworks as well.

Try Ft Wilderness beach! Our DS got engaged last year, the 4th of July, on their carriage ride. It was timed so after the proposal they could walk to the beach to see the MK fireworks. Music is piped in too!

The Magic Kingdom fireworks are the best, probably that I've ever seen. We saw them at a distance from our room in the Hilton near DTD (pre-DVC). This year we're excited to watch them again, this time a little closer!

I've heard nothing but incredible things about the MK fireworks on the fourth, and nothing but horror stories about the crowds involved (though some people might find that to be enjoyable). Still, I've been to WDW twice on the fourth, both times for the Epcot fireworks, and I found them to be really great. They play Illuminations in full first and then move on to the special 4th of July show which is awesome and ends with so many fireworks going off at the same time that you can hardly even hear the music blasting from the speakers next to you. Of course it was crowded, but not especially so, just a bit more than a normal summer day. I'm guessing that's because MK draws the vast majority of crowds on the 4th.

I've never seen or heard about the DHS fireworks on the 4th so I can't comment on those. You're in for a treat no matter which way you go, though. I know if I go back again for the fourth I'll be going to the Magic Kingdom just to be able to say I did it.
