Suggestions on Meeting Princesses at MK

It is on our list next visit to meet Merida and/or Rapunzel. We will only be at MK one day so I'm not sure we will have for both. We plan to be at the park at RD and our first FP+ isn't until 10 or a bit later. When do the princess meets begin? Which would you suggest meeting first? I've heard the lines for Merida can still get a bit long. (we are taking little brother this trip so we didn't use any of our FP for meets and probably won't change any selections so we can).

Disney lists the character times on the My Disney Experience app. We also use www.kennythepirate.com, but you have to pay $2 or something to use it on your phone.

I believe the princesses start at RD. Rapunzel is with another princess in fairytale hall so the lines can get pretty long as you will meet both. Merida is by herself, so the line moves a bit quicker. This rings especially true because there is no FP+ with Merida it is stand-by only.

I would RD Rapunzel and then head straight to Merida, they are very close together. I would have your hubby take your son on some of the ride while you wait if he has no real interest in seeing them.

I would use FP+ for Rapunzel and RD Merida. She doesn't open until 15 minutes after park open, but if you get there right at RD you will be among the first in queue.

Merida's first set is 9:15
Rapunzel & a "princess friend" (usually snow white) start greeting in the Fairytale Hall right at 9.

If you are there right at rope drop, I'd suggest sending one parent into Merida's line, while the others run through Rapunzel's.
Then head right over to Merida's line for the 9:15 set, where they do allow one person to "hold" a spot for their group.

I'd head to Rapunzel first, since her line often gets 90 minutes+ long. Then go and see Merida. Ideally, I would use a FP+ for Rapunzel. Go and see Merida first and then use the FP to see Rapunzel.
