I ordered tickets from Paramount today. Thanks for all the suggestiions on cheapest places to buy tickets. I got the 7day PHP and they did indeed come with character breakfast vouchers. Rosa told me that they were good for any character breakfast other than Cinderella Castle and Crystal Palace. So I am wondering if anyone has done any other breakfast and which they would recommend for three boys (6,5,1).
Thanks a lot.

I really liked the character breakfast at AK breakfastasaurus. You can go really early, I think we went before the park opened. Good food and Mickey, Donald and others were there!

Also forgot to ask, Did you get a voucher for each ticket bought? Like if you bought 4 php, did you get 4 breakfast vouchers? I'm leaning toward paramount because of the price.

Yes, we got the voucher for each ticket. I think that you can get the voucher with 6 day or 7 day PHP tickets. I was leaning towards the one at AK also. This is our first time at Disney with children and my first visit in about 19 years. My husband went as a small child so everything is very new to us. What did you think of the food? How early can you make a seating? What exactly is a priority seating? Sorry to ask so many questions.
Thanks!
Erin

You will enjoy taking your kids back to WDW and seeing it through their eyes. The food was breakfast buffet, nothing extreme, just a lot of variety of breakfast items. I think you can make priority seatings 90 days prior to your trip now. Find out when AK opens and time your ps to be before opening so you don't miss out on any park time. Another suggestion would be Chef Mickeys at the CR. We usually eat there on our last day. The buffet has more food there than AK. Good luck deciding!

I would recommend Chef Mickeys or Cape May Cafe. Both had EXCELLENT food. My jaw dropped when I saw the offerings at these places. After we had a disgusting meal at Cinderella breakfast, I was so happy to go to these 2 places. I also think they would be appropriate for boys.

Chef Mickeys has Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale and Goofy dressed in chef uniforms.

Cape May Cafe has Minnie, Goofy, Chip, Dale, and maybe Pluto dressed in Beach attire.

Chef Mickey's is close to MK. You can walk or take the monorail.

Cape May is close to EPCOT - right outside the International Gateway entrance.

I purchased the 6 day PHP from Paramount also, and was told that the breakfast vouchers come with the passes. My question is do I need to make a reservation and do I need to wait until I get the passes to make the reservation? Also, my husband decided after I purchased the passes that he wanted to just go ahead and upgrade to annual passes once we get to Disney, so will we still be able to use the breakfast vouchers? By the way our trip is 9/16 - 9/23/03

another vote for chef mickey. That was our favorite character breakfast when we were there in June

We did the "Princess Storybook Breakfast" at Epcot last year & it was very good, especially if you have little "princess'" 5 princess' are there, food is good and since we are on the budget board- Cindy's breakfast & Princess breakfast cost the most of all the Character breaks at $19.99 A & 10.99C (I think?). Most of the other are $16.99 & 9.99. Best value for "Free" vouchers

We just did Cape May a couple weeks ago and was very disappointed. The food selection was good (not great) and the character interaction was okay. The first time around Chip didn't even stop at our table, but waved and kept walking. Goofy posed for a picture and took off light lightening. Another problem was unattended kids in the buffet line, touching food with their hands, running around, putting food on their plate and then dumping it in another food container--even as his mommy watched!! Last time we did Grand Floridian and it was much better. I think I would go with Chef Mickeys or Crystal Palace. Many good reports!

our favorite has always been the Crystal Palace with Pook etc. Best combo of food, location, characters. I have heard great things about the princess breakfast at Norway...

My vote is for Chef Mickey. During our August trip I took my DS7 to both Chef Mickey and the Animal Kingdom. Chef Mickey's food was much better plus the characters were awesome! They continously blow bubbles and the place goes crazy about every 15 minutes. My DS thought he was a little too old for it. I wanted a picture of him and Mickey. When DS attempted to ignore Mickey. He drug my son on his chair to the middle of the room giving him a kiss and posing for a picture. Then he continued to play gags on my DS. Needless to say my DS now loves Mickey! We need to buy many Mickey souveniors. In addition to Mickey Plato put on a great show with the Chipmonks dragging him on his belly out of the dining area. The chipmonks continuously were untieing each others aprons. I just can not say enough about what a total performance all the characters did.

At Donald's character breakfast in Animal Kingdom the food or character's were not what I have come to expect from Disney. We had a server that was not funny plus extremely loud. Her supervisor mentioned to her not to yell however she continued. I did not think the characters animated. they just kind of walked around. Plus the restuarant was not as cool and comfortable.

I've been to a lot of character breakfasts over the years at WDW, but I had the most fun at Ohana. My family and I ate here back in 2001 (my DD was 21 mos. at the time), and I liked it better than the CRT, Cape May, Grand Floridian, and Chef Mickey's. I will say that Chef Mickey's runs a close 2nd in my book though. From our Ohana breakfast, I have some great home video of the kids marching around the restaurant with Mickey, Goofy and Chip & Dale making music with sticks. At that time, my DD was too young to participate, but now that she's 3 years old, I'm looking forward to her joining the parade!:D I hope they still have this character breakfast. I haven't heard anyone else mention it, so I thought I'd chime in. Whichever one you choose, I'm sure you'll have a ball.:earsgirl:

We took my in-laws to the princess breakfast last December. While the girls ate it up (especially the 3 yo), we were pleasantly suprised the boys (6 & 9) got into as well...ok, they did it shyly and reluctantly, but they liked it. This breakfast does have the advantage of all the princesses being face characters.

This may not be the best choice for the OP's boys...depends on the boys. I do know my f-i-l and b-i-l very enjoying the visit from Princess Jasmine. :p

Breakfast was served family style and you could ask for more. I don't recall the quality, in part because breakfast is generally hard to screw up and I spend most of the meal behind the camera.

Hope this helps,
-Joe

We did Cape May and 1900 Park Fare (at the Grand Floridian) and loved both of them. We all loved the food and the character interaction. They were also both quiet and laid back. We had late PS and enjoyed not feeling we had to hurry as no one was being seated after us.

What exactly is this deal through parmount, and where do I sign up? LOL

Thanks in advance for the info.

we used our vouchers for the breakfast buffet at BOMA

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that although we'd purchased 2 adult and 1 chidl Fun in the Sun Vouchers through paramount that the vouchers were identical. We were able to use the child voucher to pay for my DS's breakfast (we'd gotten him an annual pass for the room discount).

She also billed my pressed coffee and his gourmet tea to the vouchers. She knew exactly what to do with them and it went very smoothly.

For character breakfasts, check the lists, but i'm not recalling that the vouchers covered breakfasts in the parks. in other words, you could do chef mickey's but not Donalds or Crystal Palace. It's clearly marked on the voucher. you do not need to tell them you're using a voucher when you make the reservation

Could you please fill us in on more details? What exactly are these vouchers and where do you get them?
