Suggestions for ur first Christmas at BWV?

On a whim I called MS yesterday and was able to get a 1-Bdr Standard View for Dec. 21 through 26

DH and I have been to WDW in December before but this will be the first time for DD, who will be 16. This will be the first Christmas EVER that we have been away from home let alone at WDW!

Looking for suggestions and tips from Christmas Eve/Day veterans as well as those who have been at WDW a couple days before Christmas.

I would suggest calling or going to their website, the disney florist. Actually I prefer calling them. CHeck out what they have or they can custom make anything for you. I have had them make me stockings geared toward adults and kids (told them their ages). Also you can have a Disney Christmas delivered to the room and also have it shipped home for you.

I would make sure to do Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. That is a must!! Also make sure you do the Candlelight Processional at Epcot, you can do a dinner package for that, then also do the Osborn Light Spectacular at MGM oh sorry Hollywood Studios.

I would also do a character meal, I know you DD is 16 but no one can say no to a character breakfast or dinner.

Have fun planning. I love going in December for all the decorations and Christmas parties and lights.

Congrats! Be sure to watch in July for the Christmas tree exchange on the DVC boards. You can sign up for your resort and your days for a tree, and pick it up at the front desk. The tree will get passed from member to member all season. There will be more info once the thread starts. Have a wonderful time!

We went this past Christmas from 12/18-12/27. 16 family members all of which were spending Christmas away from home for the first time ever.

We had the time of our lives!! It will live in our memories forever.

Book your ADRs early. Try and get to CP, MVMCP and the other Christmas events. Expect crowds to build on the 23rd and get more crowded each day.

We used TGM and followed his advice. It worked out great. Have a terrific time!!

I am not familiar with the Candlelight Procession and the Dinner Package? What is it and when can I make reservations?

When will they release the dates for MVMCP and CP?

Appreciate the tip on the Christmas tree exchange. Sounds neat!

I will check out the Disney Florist as well!

DH and DD have already been told to be thinking about where they want to have Christmas Eve an Christmas Day dinner. Luckily we head "home" to the BWV in June for a week before the 180 mark for our December trip!

I don't know who is more excited ... DD or me!

P.S. Does anyone know what happened to the colors bestowed to me by the Tag Fairies???

Well I can tell you that the last date for the MVMCP is December 19th!! So you will miss that - as I will too... we don't arrive until the 22nd... totally bummed about it... But otherwise have fun and expect crowds...

The nice things about this trip for us is that we are going for the holiday decorations and shows.

I agree that it is a shame that we will miss MVMCP but my understanding is that we will see the Christmas parade and Wishes that week during the regularly scheduled times.

I have done some research on CP ... and now will wait to make those reservations.

We will have 3 trips (a week in June '08, 5 nights at Christmas and a week in June '09) in a 12-month period so if we don't get to ride all our favorites in December because of the crowds we will survive
