Pin Trading seems to be tricky to the new pin collector.

Just as an example. Would this be considered a fair trade? One pin has a retail value of 25.00 as opposed to 12.95 for the other.

Pin 42638: WDW - Piece of Disney History 2005 (Splash Mountain) LTD 2500

Well it just depends on how you look at things, a jumbo pin is a more expensive, and is more rare than a disney piece of history pin. But if the jumbo pin doesn't exactly fascinate you like having a pin with a piece of disney history in it, it could be a fair trade. It is all up to you! :-)

I agree with OnceUponAStar. Me and my sister use to be all concerned with how much a pin was worth vs other pins then we just decided to get ones that we liked. Now thats the only reason we trade. So if you like the pin your trading for more then the one you have, I say trade and don't worry about the price. Unless your after all the rare stuff, then you should probably not listen to me. Although I think there's a board just for pin traders that you could check out and ask on.

If you have a pin that you don't like as much as the one someone is willing to trade with you then I would say go ahead and trade it. I mean, you are the one looking at your pins all the time and so why not have one that you would like looking at more than another. Also, if the pin you are trading is a part of disney history but the one you are trading for as something that shows something in history for you than you should have the one that means more to. But that is just my advice!!!
