Suggestions for Mother/Son Dance

OK guys... I need to enlist your help yet again. We need to figure out a song for my DF to dance to with his mother.... here's the deal.... he does not look at his mother as a nurturing woman who was always there for him. In reality, she was rarely there. She was busy with committees and other things that kept her away from her family (by her choice) and he is hurt by that. He is only doing this dance because if he doesn't she probably won't talk to us anymore... so, with that said, we need a neutral song (and a brief one) for them to dance to.

I had suggested Circle of Life, but my DF doesn't want a Disney song... help.

That is a tough one since all the songs out there are more mushy...Here are a few.."Change the World" by Eric Clapton, "I hope you dance" by Lee ann Womack or I'm moving on by Rascal Flatts. "Blessed" by Elton John. "Time of your life" Green Day. I am not trying to be silly but I am trying to find something that is neutral. "You've got a friend" James Taylor. I am not sure if it helps but there are a couple.

I have a 16 year old son. Hopefully it'll be at least 10 more years before he gets married!! LOL! I'm not sure how appropriate it is, but the song I've always wanted for us is What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. I like the version with Kenny G playing the sax in it the best.

I've suggested to my fiance that he and his mom dance to "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts. He wanted to come up with a song for the two of them, so I'm not totally sure if he'll use it or not, but I hope he will - cuz it's a greeeeaaattt song.

My DH was in the same situation. He is not close with his mom but pretty close with his brothers and sisters. He chose "Ode to My Family" by The Cranberries.
