In need of some suggestions for dining! BF and I are going for the last Star Wars Weekend and staying until June 20 - we'll be in POR. No kids, so I don't know how much we'll appreciate character meals - though I love me some princesses.

ETA: I've since made a ridiculous amount of reservations that now include:

Breakfast:
Crystal Palace (x2 - first and last day, contemplating changing to something else for either)
Star Wars Dine In Galactic Breakfast at Sci Fi
Kona
Akershus
Tusker House

Lunch:
Be Our Guest (x2 will most likely cancel one)
50's Prime Time Cafe
Sanaa
Whispering Canyon Cafe

Wine Tasting at Jiko

Dinner:
Be Our Guest (x3, will most likely cancel 2)
Jedi Mickey @ Hollywood & Vine + Fantasmic
Ohana (reservations are prior to Wishes, hoping for a window seat!)
TREX
Monsuier Paul (reservations are about an hour prior to Illuminations, hoping for a window seat!)
Beirgarten (Drink around the World)
Mamma Melrose
Spirit of Aloha - not sure it's worth it. Only time I could get was right after the BOG res I'll probably be keeping.

Is breakfast or dinner better at Ohana? Ohana dinners were pretty filled up until late (8:30PM or later) so I did a breakfast.

I'm trying to get a Galactic Breakfast without much luck right now! Contemplating getting an ADR watch for it, but the experience isn't listed, just Sci-Fi Dine In for Breakfast. (GOT A RESERVATION!)

We're taking 2 days to visit Universal, so we have 7 days.

The Sci-Fi Dine In breakfast is the galactic breakfast; they don't offer the meal at any other time of the year. Also, I prefer 'Ohana for breakfast much more than dinner.

The Star Wars breakfast should be listed as "star Wars dine in galactic breakfast at sci-fi" under your dining options, but only through 6/14. That's the last day of the galactic breakfast. After 6/14 it is no longer offered.

Nice! That should work. I'm trying for a 6/14 breakfast for 6 and hoping some cancellations come in when FtF and the celebs are announced...

The ohana breakfast and dinner are completly different experiences. Breakfast is a LILO and stich character breakfast, I love the experience, food is pretty simple. Dinner is served similar to a Brazilian rodizio, my husband and I did this without kids, it was nice, kind of romantic and we loved the food!

Oh and don't leave out character meals and princess meals becjase you don't have children my husband and I took an anniversary trip and went to a bunch

I think all the breakfasts are character meals except Kona and the Star Wars dinner at Hollywood and Vine is one too. Just don't see a whole lot of reason to get them otherwise. Not really interested in CRT for princesses since I'll see most of them at Akershus for much cheaper (and I pretty much only care about Belle and Jasmine).

All of these are out of pocket - still doesn't seem to be worth it to get a meal plan since 1 day is a travel day where we'll just be sleeping and we won't be around Disney for 2 days because of Universal.

I definitely wouldn't suggest the meal plan, you're right probably not the best bang for your buck. There are soooo many other awesome breakfast meals that are not character meals, just can't think of a buffet without characters. Kona and whispering canyon are our two favs for breakfast. My husband and I thought the Buffett breakfasts were worth the price because they kept us full till dinner :) two meals for one plus characters!!

California Grill is always a great choice for the amazing views of wishes!
