Suggestions for how to get member number from a resale before deed is mailed?

Hi All,
Sorry it has been a while. I had (yet another) question for you all. We closed in early Feb. on a resale through The Timeshare Store. We received a letter stating that the deed had been processed. It has been 2 weeks, and I still have no membership number or deed. We called MS, and they stated that they would not give out member numbers until we got them in the mail, yet they reported that they had a copy of the deed.
We were really hoping to plan a getaway for October at BWV, but I am quite nervous about finding acommodations at this late date. Any suggestions for ways to speed this along? Could it just have been that MS representative and should I call back, or is this a new MS policy?

Thanks,

Lance :)

I would try calling back. When we did a resale we had no trouble getting the number or making a ressie once Disney had the necessary closing documents on the resale.

One way is to call your resale broker and involve them in getting the old number, but I'd also call MS again and ask them to look you up by your SS#. That is how I've done it each time with my resales. (MS also told me each time the previous owner or resale broker should provide the original number- but went ahead and got me the information.)
Good luck!

I would try calling back. We closed on a resale on a Monady and got our MS number the next day (Tuesday) late in the afternoon. They just asked for names, SS# etc.

Good Luck!
