I'll be there with by hubby and two kids (4 yrs and 1.5 yrs). I'm planning on a park break for Saturday and was thinking we could go down town for dinner. Any suggestions?
And do you think Saturday is a good day to go downtown - I've heard the parks are more crowded that day - is everything just more crowded on Saturdays?

It does seem that everything is more crowded on the weekends. Raglan Rd is a wonderful place to eat, it's all Irish food and is fabulous. Capt. Jack's is mostly seafood. The Rainforest Cafe is fun, food is ok, but they are not on the dining plan.

Weekends are crowded at Downtown Disney. I like eating at Raglan Road and at House of Blues.

wolfgang puck's express is very good! the earl of sandwich has great sandwiches and good prices. the raglan road was delicious! cookes of dublin has the fish and chips and it was good. i love the fried snickers bar. we've been to the rainforest and it was okay but i love the atmosphere! capn jack's was alright. we have the best seafood here on the gulf coast but their lobster was good. i would love to eat at fulton's but it is pricey! have fun. we love going to dtd to shop at the world of disney and the christmas shop.

Weekends are very crowded at DTD as everyone seems to spend their arrival/departure day there :rolleyes1

We've had very good luck at Planet Hollywood (and they are on the DDP if that matters) We were there in June and went back in December and now have it booked for this June. It's a little loud, you won't have a quiet conversation ;) but there's so much to look at and listen to that it keeps my kids busy & happy. The earlier you go, the calmer it is :goodvibes

We also like Wolfgang Puck Express (Marketplace). It's CS with very TS type food :goodvibes

If you're not too full from dinner  try to save room for Ghiradellis! Yum Yum Yum!!!!

A nice place for dinner is Portobello Yacht Club. If you're just looking for something quick, then Earl of Sandwich is good.

We love love love Earl of Sandwich!

Sometimes you can split a sandwich depending on how hungry you are.

With weekends being Very Crowded downtown, maybe we want to just stay at our resort (CBR)?? Thanks for all the suggestions everyone - Raglan Road sounds really good! So much planning so little time - just 10 more days 'til my ADRs!

Yes - Raglan Road does accept the DDP. Fish and chips was pretty good. My DH had the Serious Sirloin steak and he loved it. Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding is one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life:love: !
