Suggestions for CS at HS?

We've always eaten at Pizza Planet which is fine, but I'd like to try something new. Any suggestions?

I'd love to know too. This is usually a day that we just eat elsewhere... usually a nearby resort. I have been to both Backlot and ABC and neither of them is very good

Sorry...the only park we will NOT eat a counter service meal at. We go to one of the resorts the day we are at Studios for our counter service meal or eat at our own resort before going to Studios.

Even though others on here don't give it the best reviews, I would recommend the ABC Commissary because every time my family and I have went there we never had a bad meal.

Sorry CR Resort Fan 4 Life, but every meal we've had at the ABC Commissary has been mediocre or worse, and we've given it 4 chances over 4 different WDW vacations. I agree with a PP that HS just isn't the place for CS meals. I'm glad your meals at ABC have been okay though.

I agree with you. We tried it twice and, like H&V, you couldn't pay us to eat there again.

we used to like Backlot Express but last trip we tried Studio Catering Company and enjoyed the food there. DH got the bbq pulled pork sub and I had the chicken ceasar wrap.

There's a little CS food area across from Beauty and Beast stage..by ToT & RnR. That has a fruit stand, McDs fries, the usual burgers and nuggets, but there are also Turkey legs, salads and grinders I think. Also, the bakery (Starring Rolls?) is very good for b and l, but can get very crowded so go early/off times. The only good luck we have had at the ABC Commissary is finding a table!

What is the closest resort to go to, I guess the question is what resort does the boat stop at first?

I would also recommend Starring Roles. It is a great place for lunch or breakfast!

I enjoyed the Backlot. But also down the "road" towards the Tower of Terror there are several vendor stands where you can get a variety of things including fruit, turkey legs, and mcdonalds fries.

I second this. We did breakfast here - bagels, croissants, danish and one of the best latte's I had my entire trip. I got it iced.

The other day we were in DHS we ate at Backlot. DH and DD did, I wasn't hungry. They seemed to enjoy it.

We've never found any decent CS at Disney Studios, although Starring Rolls would probably be the best available there. We always catch the boat over to Epcot and run to the French Bakery or Tangierine Cafe in Morocco. If you want to try a resort, how about catching a bus over to the Pepper Market at CSR? and I'm sorry but we've tried ABC Commissary multiple times and have never had a decent meal. YUK!!!!
