They'll be 13 of us, mostly adults/young adults and one adorable 3 year old. During the week, I'm sure we'll all be in different directions but at least once we want to meet and have a family dinner. 'Ohana is our typical gathering spot but am looking for something a little different. Any suggestions? :3dglasses

How far out is your trip?

If it is in the six-month or longer range, there will be lots of reservations available.

What you need to do would be select a restaurant and have the reservation within the first 20 minutes of opening. That way you can be either at one table, or sure of tables right next to each other.

And I would suggest one of the resort buffet restaurants; more than likely 1900 Park Fare will have the widest selection, Boma the most unusual foods, or Chef Mickey's.

Our last three trips involved parties of 15 or more. Everyone enjoyed Hoop-De-Doo, Whispering Canyon, Ohana, Tusker House and Chrystal Palace the most.

I was not happy with Biergarten in recent trips. I get really good German food at home. Only a few people enjoyed Boma. I loved it :). If you have picky eaters, stick with the basics.

Also, as you probably know, pe prepared to be at 2 or three tables. It depends on the restaurant. Good luck!
