Thanks!!!
I have had some very good steaks at the following 1TS restaurants,,,
Whispering Canyon Cafe: Yep, it was a shocker for me. Went in there with every intention of getting the skillet and changed my mind. Didn't regret it for a minute.
Coral Reef: I actually thought the N.Y Strip was much better than the steak at Le Cellier (just opinion)
Captains Grille: We did this as a last minute ADR on our arrival day when we stayed at the YC. To this day this was the most unexpectedly pleasant dining surprise I have encountered in WDW. The steak was excellent as was the service and the rest of the entrees.
The Wave: Don't know if beef tenderloin counts as a steak, but the one I had at the Wave was excellent.
I just took a trip in December and enjoyed the steak at The Rose and Crown for lunch, it was really good. We also ate at the Garden Grill in The Land. It was a family style platter with sliced steak, turkey and sausage and lots of sides. All of us really enjoyed that. And Chip took our drink order and served them too!
I had a really good New York Strip steak a few months ago at The Coral Reef (Epcot). One table service credit. I often read a lot of negative reviews for this place, but ours was really good. The steak was tender, juicy. and flavorful. Not all experiences are the same, but ours was really good. The atmosphere there is pretty neat as well.
We went to a few places and were unimpressed with the steak at BOG, but the Sci-Fi steak was great! If you decide you would want to invest in the 2 credits I would say Yachtsman hands down. A friend convinced me to go there last month and it was phenomenal. I do recommend the truffle mac and cheese there as well. Have a great trip!
The breakfast steak was a little different and I thought a little better, but the dinner steak was still really good. I'm excited you will be going to Yachtsman! Have a great time!We did sci-fi for breakfast, ordered steak and eggs and it was really, really, really good. Not sure if it's the same for dinner. Looking forward to trying yachtsman on our trip later this month!
Yes, I must agree. I also had the Jack Daniels Chocolate Mousse. Loved it. Very good.everyone should try the Jack Daniels dessert, it's delish!
I have yet to try Shula's, but definitely want to. It is generally very highly regarded. I think not accepting the dining plan (which is very deliberate) makes it a bit lesser-known.Perhaps someone can back me up here since I've never been there, but I have a family member that says one of the best steaks he's ever eaten was at Shula's at the Swan/Dolphin (not sure which one). I know this doesn't count for the dining plan, but he said it's not only the best on the WDW premises, it's one of the best he's ever had in his lifetime.
