Hi all,

We're staying at Boardwalk soon in a 1BR villa. Does anyone have suggestions for a nice unit in a great location? We'd like a nice view.

Thanks!

I would recommend courtyard/village green view if you can. We stayed in a one-bedroom villa with that view and it was partial boardwalk view. But, we also had a great view of the Beach Club and the lake.

We also didn't have the dreaded 'endless hallway' walk at the end of the day as this villa was real close to the elevators.

I believe RCI owners trading in are only allowed Preferred View at BWV, not Standard which would be the Village Green view. Also, I believe the Village Green view is only Studio units.

Some of our more RCI knowledgeable folks may chime in here..

For 1 bedroom preferred view, your choices would be main pool, quiet pool or courtyard on the Swan/Dolphin end. There is a 1 bedroom on the corner of the Village Green but that is usually considered boardwalk view (I had it one time). The rest of the Village Green are studios.

When we had our 1 - bed "village green" view, it was booked as a Preferred View room. I used my DVC points, it was not an RCI trade. I am not sure of the room number, but it was on the 4th floor and it was a dedicated 1 bedroom. It really was a fabulous room with a great view.

It is an RCI exchange. I don't know that there is a view associated with those.
You can verify this with Member Services about a week or two after your exchange is confirmed, but the view is almost certainly Preferred.

I had it on the 5th floor but I had reserved boardwalk view. I think it's one of those "borderline" rooms that is sometimes one and sometimes the other depending on what they need to fill. I was disappointed because it was the first time I booked boardwalk view, it only had one small balcony (bedroom had a window only) and wasn't directly over the boardwalk. I didn't complain because my mom was ill at the time and it was so close to the elevator.

I'm booked for Superbowl weekend there with a Boardwalk view. Can anyone suggest? I am not RCI. Thanks!

I always request top floor, it's more quiet. Most of the time I ended up with 3rd or 4th floor. My biggest fear is getting stuck in one of those first floor rooms right on the boardwalk. If walking is an issue, request close to the elevator.

Top floor, thanks for the tip. Do they have concierge level at the top and how can I get it?

Thanks Debbie. I stayed at Jambo once and they bumped me to CL for no reason. It was very nice!

Had a reservation for a Pool View for this past June because we were told Boardwalk View wasn't available. It took a long time for our room to come available and we ended up with a fantastic Boardwalk View upgrade. It was just above the Disney Store and overlooked the game Kiosks on the Boardwalk.

I am staying in a Boardwalk 1 BR Garden/Pool view room. We are wait listed for Boardwalk view but it is getting close so I don't think it is going to come through. We definitely don't want to deal with the potential noise from the main pool. Any suggestions for a request?

Our main pool view room was not noisy but we were on an upper floor, so that probably made a difference. Maybe you would like a view of the quiet pool.

Not sure what view you can or can't have....if you can get a Boardwalk View, we always go for room 4001. It's a long long walk from the elevators, but it's at Crest of the Wave next to Jelly Rolls and the patio view is terrific. If you are ok with stairs, there is a back stairwell right outside the door to take the back way to the BWV pools or to the Swan/Dolphin.

After just returning from SSR because the BW wasn't available, ANY room at the BW is great. We were not fans of SSR.
My favorite is a Boardwalk view. I did learn that the 2 bedroom lock offs start where the brewery is.
Enjoy the BW, walking to Epcot & the Studios is very convenient.
