Suggestion for Resort Restaurant with little ones

Going to visiting in December and am looking for a suggestion for a resort restaurant that would be good both for twin 16 month olds (so a more laid back environment would be good) and for parents who are not the most adventurous eaters (so nothing too fancy).

Was looking at some of the menus and am deciding between Chef Mickey, 1900 Park, and Ohana. Despite 10 trips to Disney, have never eaten at any of these!

So which of these is your favorite and any considerations?

Thanks!

PS - we're already going to Boma during the trip so no need to recommend that one - we eat there every year but have a longer trip this year (and have babies this time) so trying some new things.

Of those 3, I would pick 'Ohana, if only for the reason that they serve you at the table vs. being a buffet. No characters at 'Ohana dinner though, the other two are buffets with characters. I was not impressed with Chef Mickey's dinner, but I'm not that crazy about 'Ohana for dinner either. We like both of those for breakfast better than dinner.

We like Ohana's last year with our LO who were 9 months and 2 at the time. We also really liked Cape May Cafe with our LO. It was very relaxed and the character interaction was good. They kept our LO really entertained. We are doing both again this trip. Our LO will be 19 months when we go.

I would skip the buffets/characters until the twins are a bit older & would enjoy them more. The hassle of having to take turns getting food would not be very relaxing, IMO. And though all Disney restaurants are busy/noisy, the character meals are really hectic/noisy/busy.

What about The Wave at the Contemporary...I know the menu sounds all "new age" eco-friendly, but if you look past the descriptions, you'll figure out it's mostly meat & taters, or fish & rice. We've had some excellent steaks there. It's a cool looking restaurant, but full of families so not stuffy. Same with Kona Cafe...dishes are Asian influenced (like terriyaki steak) but if you don't want the sauce, you can order the steak plain, no prob. Grand Floridian Cafe, ditto...your basic meat & taters place...but elegant looking. Not a dress-up place, though. Plenty of families with kids. And best of all, you get waited on!

Bonus, all three of these restaurants are on the monorail, so you can easily get too & from the Magic Kingdom with the kiddos. Or wander the resort & let the kids toddle off some excess energy...especially at the Polynesian & Grand Flo. Park-like settings.

What about the Hoopdee Doo Review at FW? We took my son who was 15 months and my four year old DD and they loved it! The food was not fancy ande was really good. They Another perk is there is a playground right near the restaraunt and the grounds are really pretty. They also have horse drawn carriage rides and a nightly campfire :)

I'm afraid that none of those choices are really laid back. But...your little ones will have lots to keep them entertained and busy while mom and dad eat dinner! That was a much bigger concern for me when my kids were that age. :goodvibes

I think that 'Ohana (your little ones will love watching the other kids participate in the games) and Chef Mickey's (your little ones will love the characters) would be great. We've been taking our boys since they were 6 months old to both of those restaurants. The noise is actually...can't believe I'm saying this...kinda soothing in a way. I never had to worry about jumping right up and running out with a noisy kid in one of those places. There is so much going on that it all blends together!
