Taking DW to WDW for a few days for our 15th anniverary WITHOUT kids!!! Taking her to 'Ohanas (our favorite) and going to splurge for Victoria and Alberts. Wanted to take her to Biergarten for dinner for some fun and a change of pace, but apparently the thought of a plate of sausage isn't appealing to her.

Do you have a suggestion for a restaurant. I thought about Le Cellier or Teppon Edo. It doesn't have to be romantic and we don't care where it is- any of the 4 parks, any of the resorts, DTD- doesn't matter. I just know we will avoid Chef Mickey's and similar places- we get our fill of those when the kids are with us.

Biergarten is alot more then sausage cause I dont do sausage either.......If Le Cellier isnt to her liking either......how about Morocco. That is a beautiful setting also.

Go to Biergarten, it is so much more than sausage, lol.

The food and atmosphere are fantastic!

Chefs de France and the Coral Reef are both great and the food at both is delicious. How 'bout one of those?

Sounds like my wife. I try to assure her their is much more than that and the kids will enjoy the band.

Biergarten is one of my favorites...and I'm not a big sausage eater either. If your wife really insists on not going there, I would suggest Yak & Yeti at Animal Kingdom or the Plaza Restaurant at the Magic Kingdom (quaint, old charm--good sandwiches, salads and terrific desserts).

Let me clarify... my wife doesn't like the thought of sausages and all of the other starchy German food, but she also doesn't drink. She can't stand the smell of beer (please no comments). We were in Epcot last month and she said when she walked through Germany in the World Showcase she could smell the beer from outside and she did not like it at all.

I think the suggestion of Tepan Edo is great. I think what you're trying to go for with the Germany restaurant (sorry, I can't spell it properly!) is more the fun, lively environment. I think Tepan Edo provides that and it'll allow her to get more food it sounds that she'll be into.

Happy Anniversary!!!! :)

DH & I just celebrated our 15th with a few days at Disney without the kids in Sept. You both are going to have a blast!

Two places that we tried for the first time and were really pleased with were Tutto at Italy in Epcot and the Grand Floridian Cafe at GF. Excellent meals at both places and even though they were both kid friendly, they both had more of a grown-up feel to them.

Biergarten is also one of our favs but it's not for everyone.

Have a great trip. :)

For romance I would try the San Angel Inn or Chefs de France

Boma is the best place to eat at WDW but it is a buffet. You could try Jiko and then a walk along the savannah

California Grill is an excellent restaurant to celebrate your anniversary. LeCellier is fantastic, too. Brown Derby is supposed to be excellent but we've never tried it.

Happy Anniversary!

I would either do:

-Biergarten-it's one of my favs for food, atmosphere, & entertainment & I DETEST sausages! Just be aware that it is group seating, in case you are uncomfortable with that.

-Boma-at AKL. The atmosphere & food are amazing & the resort is very fun & romantic!

DH and I just had our 15th as well. We are going to Disney next month (with the kids) but are going away for the evening to enjoy a belated annivarsary dinner. We are going to California Grill. We are very excited about it. Unfortuantly we don't have much family and non for an overnight let alone a trip, but this evening will be very special and we are very much looking forward to it.

I'd get away from the park - what about Spoodles - or go over to the Yacht Club restaurant (can't remember the name of it off hand) - or, we always enjoy the Turf Club at SSR for a more adult feeling.

San Angel Inn at Epcot is romantic, but my hubby and I enjoy the Rose and Crown at firework time. Also, Artist's Point at Wilderness Lodge is nice.
