SUE B WON A CONTEST!!!!!!!

Thanks, Mal!

Love those contests!! :)

Guess what?!?

I just got a letter in the mail with an affidavit from the Daimler/Chrysler Corporation/Martha Stewart Living "Get Ready for the Road Again" Sweepstakes.

As far as I can tell it's First Prize for a set of Martha Stewart Linen Luggage (valued at $750). Not the Grand Prize for a trip. But hey, I'll take anything I can get.

Of course this is one of those ones I don't even remember entering.

Still waiting for "the BIG one"...

That's awesome, Sue!!

Everyday when I get the mail, I keep hoping I'll get something like that but I never do! LOL! One of these days...

Congrats!

I managed to find the rules online and printed them out. As I was reading over them, I remember entering the contest. It's the one where you needed to enter a "Bonus Phrase." You were supposed to watch Martha Stewart's show to get the phrase, but they had it listed in the rules. Or at least I think they did (it said it was "Road Trip"). If that's the case, there's a possibility that I get a bonus prize, too! A bunch of Martha Stewart stuff (books, bags, CD's) worth $500. Guess I won't get my hopes up about the Bonus Prize. But it would be a nice...um...bonus! ;)

Now I just have to get my form notarized....Guess it's off to the AAA this weekend.

Congrats SueB! Glad to see a fellow Disser win. I'm off to enter all those new contests Mal posted.

I entered a bunch and had a lot of fun dreaming about winning!

Sue that is AWESOME! Martha Stewart is my 4 year old sons FAV show (I know a little weird, but he just loves it).

Congratulations, Sue!! That is great and it is always nice to see someone from here win something!! :)

Thanks Mal and everyone for all the contests you all list and special thanks to Nicole who sends me PM's every now and then with the expired ones to take out! Makes it easier for everyone!! :)

No problem, Beanie!

It's mainly for selfish reasons anyway - it's easier for me to read that way! ;)

Congratulations Sue! I'm glad to see someone from here win a big prize! Annmarie

I had a note in my mailbox today that I had a certified letter from the marketing company responsible for the sweepstakes. (Also got the return receipt from the stuff I sent them on Saturday.) I swear my postal carrier just left the form in the box and didn't try to ring the doorbell or knock on the door. Or did I hear them knock when I was putting Evan down for a nap? They never try very hard, if they do knock. Anyway...

The curiousity got the best of me, and, after his nap, I decided to drag Evan up to the Post Office before they closed at 5pm. We left at 4:51, drove the 2 or so miles through rush hour traffic, and got there about 4:58! I know, because Evan announced the time to me on the digital clock in my car and at the Post Office.

Long story short....the letter said they're out of the luggage. It's no longer available. So instead...they sent my a $750 gift certificate to Martha Stewart: The Catalog for Living! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: Much better than $750 worth of luggage I don't really need, IMO.

Now, what to buy?....

It's been a good day between this and my Webbie. Belated birthday presents for me! LOL!

P.S. No mention of the bonus prizes. Oh, well. Shouldn't be greedy. ;)

Wow, I'd much rather be able to pick my own $750 worth of stuff than luggage! You go girl!

Alllrightttt, Sue!!! :D

Have fun shopping through that catalog!

All weekend long, all I kept hearing from DH was "Why are we claiming this prize? We don't need luggage. We have to pay the taxes on it." Etc., etc., etc.

Well, now that we get to pick what we want, and he might get some cool kitchen gadgets out of the deal, he's changed his tune! LOL!

I can't decide what to get! I can't decide between "practical" things that we could maybe use (like the kitchen gadgets that we don't really need, but...), and less practical things that I wouldn't buy otherwise. Well, not so much impractical, as just "large ticket" items that I certainly wouldn't be buying. Like the set of $259 lamps for the bedroom? They actually have a library stool (you know, the kick stools with the rubber tops, and wheels) for $69, which I think is just sooooo cool, since I spent 9 years working in a college library. I don't know where I'd use it, but it would sure be handy. Maybe in the basement--after I reorganize all the shelves! Lots of little things or a few big things? So many choices! :D :)

That is great news, Sue!! Have fun picking out all your new things!! :)
