"SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP! It Builds Character and Strength!" A July 2011 TR-COMPLETE 4/5

I didn't even know Rainforest Cafe did breakfasts!! But it sure does look delicious! I might have to check that out next time!

Pssh. Pansy boys thinking that sleep will get factored into a trip. Oh little ones. :lmao:

Hahaha they just don't get it.

:rotfl: That is so funny about the lady and her son! What a great line to overhear! :rotfl: Curl looks sooo cool!!! I can't wait to check it out! It wasn't there last time we were down! :sad2: Can't wait to hear what you do next!!

It was hilarious! And so perfect!

It is sooo cool! I love it in there.

LOVED the buttercup story! that is hillarious and so unexpected from a mom! also appericiate you constantly telling your family that! they must have loved hearing that every 5 seconds lol! when i first saw your TR title i thought that it was a saying based from the TV show powerpuff girls. one of the little girl superheros name is buttercup and she is really tough.

Yeah they probably weren't too happy about that...oh well! Yeah I used to be obsessed with that show! For Spirit Week last year my class used her as our mascot! How perfect LOL.

sorry, back to the update...

I love those mickey stickers! I think they are adorable and remind me of the parades they had when i was little where they brought kids watching the parade into the fun and we all got to dance w/ the characters :) I had one on the back of my old phone for a long time untill that phone broke :(

Cute Winnie the Pooh area! i never noticed the displays in dtd before :( something to look forward to seeing next trip i guess :)

curl looks awesome! I remember princess caitlin saying it was amazing in there! this update has solidified my need to go into that store!

yay your brother got his belt! that could have been a disaster otherwise!

hello animal kingdom! (again :) ) wonder where you will go next popcorn::

I used to have them all over the back of my iPod. They were like a Mickey collage. It was great.

Yeah you should definitely check it out!

Yeah she loves it too! It's such a cool store.

Thank the lord. Otherwise we'd be doing a very lively and Disney-fied version of "Pants on the Ground." :rotfl:

You'll have to wait and seeee...

Just catching up now...Funny story for the title...Ah, the things you overhear people say...you just can't make that stuff up!

Sounds like the gentlemen in your group need some

I've been to the real Saratoga Springs, and it's amazing how faithful SSR is to the historic sections of the town. Disney did a great job with that resort.

I know! People say the darndest things!

HAHAHA. Yes they most certainly do. Too bad they both don't like coffee.

Really? It's gorgeous, I've always wanted to stay there. Someday...

Hahaha so glad we learnt the origin of suck it up buttercup. More people need to be told that in their lives...

Awwwh precious picture of you two! Definitely frame worthy!:thumbsup2

Large lego statues will always make me happy!:goodvibes

Bahahaha that smiling guy... I mean why did he even look up? Because its very clear that you were just trying to snap a sneaky picture of his friend to the left.. am I right? jk :rotfl:

Yay animal kingdom!! ...(again)
All those 'let the memories begin' signs are so heart warming:love:

They really do. Like Dave and Mike. LOL.

Aww thanks! hehe.

They're awesome! And they're actually made out of Legos! It's incredible.

Haha oh you know... :P It's so funny. He just looked right at me!

I love them! The one at DHS is really funny.

SUCK IT BUTTERCUP! THERE IS NO SLEEPING! :rotfl:

I love the suck it buttercup story... too funny!

The memories sign at Animal Kingdom is absolutely precious!

HAHAHA you got that right! :thumbsup2

It was HILARIOUS. I love overhearing what people say in Disney. Some things are just priceless. That lady probably has no clue that we all quote her now!

It's adorable! :goodvibes

I didn't even know Rainforest Cafe did breakfasts!! But it sure does look delicious! I might have to check that out next time!

I didn't either until I planned that trip! It was so yummy though! You definitely should!

KRISTEN! I am SOOOOOO sorry I haven't commented on your TR in awhile. I am drowning in homework and projects and other stuff in school and I'm a SWIMMER! (;)) lol I promise to comment on your updates ASAP! :thumbsup2

Chapter 22- Animal Kingdom: Take Two!

July 27th, 2011

SO here we go again! This second attempt at Animal Kingdom does not include any detours, side-trips, or belt hunts, I PROMISE.

dsc02134j.jpg

Once we were back in AK for the second time that day (ha! that rhymes!) we headed over to Asia...and you know what that means!

dsc02135v.jpg

dsc02136k.jpg

YETI!!! AHHH!!!

dsc02137xn.jpg

I whipped out my Fastpasses, and thank God I had them, because there weren't any left for the day! Mike and I sped through that line and pretty soon we were boarding our train through the Himalayas!

dsc02133k.jpg

Our ride was full of Stacey references, and the classic "There doesn't seem to be any tracks" line. Also, the Yeti was in there, and contrary to rumor/popular belief he was movin' alright! It kind of shocked me a little because I was expecting him to be stationary or covered up...but NOPE! The Yeti was alive and well!

After our Expedition Everest, we decided to see about Kali River Rapids FP's. Unfortunately, there weren't any left for the day and the stand-by line was 85 minutes! Yeah RIGHT. So we decided to skip that, which didn't really matter because it was not unbearably hot that day at all!

I decided to check Mobile Magic for Dinosaur before we made the trek over to DinoLand. Lucky for us, there were still some Fastpasses left! We headed over that way to pick some up and say hello to our Dino friends.

dsc02138e.jpg

dsc02139pl.jpg

**Note: Primeval Whirl is under construction, so that's why we skipped it. It has been since January 16th! The day after our AK frump day in January! Little fun fact for ya there.

After we got our Golden Tickets for OUR prehistoric adventure, we all agreed that it was definitely lunchtime. So what better place to go than a certain Safari of sorts in Discovery Island!?

dsc02142yk.jpg

dsc02143g.jpg

I believe us frumps were a little frightened of that guy in January, right Jess?

We went inside and ordered our food, which Dave and Mike took care of while I got us a nice table in one of the gorgeously decorated rooms.

dsc02151tc.jpg

dsc02152l.jpg

What a cute little snail. (:

dsc02156ei.jpg

Gotta love a multicolored Kangaroo!

I love these light fixtures! So rustic and cute.

dsc02153i.jpg

Soon, Dave and Mike found me, and more importantly, so did the FOOD.

Mike and I both ordered the pepperoni pizza.

dsc02144ut.jpg

dsc02146j.jpg

Yes, I posted both pics. Yes, they are the EXACT same thing. Ya know, ya'al can judge but it is just THAT good.

Dave ordered the veggie pizza.

dsc02145v.jpg

And of course that was delicious as well, although I am partial to my classic pepperoni.

Everyone's meal came with a caesar salad, which was fresh and crisp, as per usual!

dsc02147uh.jpg

We all also got chocolate mousse for dessert, which was chocolatey goodness topped off with lovely, and Dave got a diet coke to drink.

dsc02148ew.jpg

dsc02149xh.jpg

Of course everyone knows what I had to drink! I think Mike went the same route as well.

dsc02150u.jpg

MMMMM. Good ol' H2O! So refreshing and perfect.

Of course our lunch completely fabulous and magical. That pizza....I don't know WHAT the heck it is but it's just so amazing! I'm obsessed with it. And now I'm craving it. And you all probably are too. You're welcome. Hehehe.

While we were eating lunch, it started to POUR out. Knowing that this was Florida and it would probably blow over soon, we sorta dragged out our lunch a bit, planned the rest of our time at AK and waited. Once it let up a good amount, we said goodbye to Pizza Heaven and headed out to a certain theater in the Camp of the Big Cheese and his Gal.

dsc02161lr.jpg

More on that next time! Have a magical night! :wizard:

I LOVE EE!!!! It's so much fun!! :cool1: We've never eaten at Pizzafari, but it looks delish! It's on the list! ;)

Definitely read "THE YETI AGGGHH" in stacey's voice.
Oh wow! I can't believe Primeval Whirl construction started the day after we were there!! that's nuts. Thank goodness we got on it!
Why does pizzafari NEVER get old?!?! Seriously I go to it on almost every trip and I just love it so much!
HAHAHA THE GECKO!
dsc0279dz.jpg

Good times.
Disney..... PIZZA.... :lovestruc (I always say "pizza" how i say it in the movie. hahaha frump. "do you like my pizza background?!" "pizza??" "it's pizza!"
EEEE FESTIVAL OF THE LION KING. I'm obsessed with the lion king. like literally... it holds a special place in my heart now. It's been a Lion King year all around.
Thank you for updating  It made me happy. I want to update mine again since I am done with my homework. I might. We'll see.

LOVE EE- my 2nd favorite ride in WDW! (Behind ToT!)

We've never eaten at Pizzafari OR Rainforest Cafe for breakfast... I wonder if the one at MoA serves breakfast?

I love the Lion King! I haven't seen the Disney show yet but am looking forward to it on our next visit. I did the the one on Broadway which was wonderful!!!!!

I used to have them all over the back of my iPod. They were like a Mickey collage. It was great.

Yeah you should definitely check it out!

Yeah she loves it too! It's such a cool store.

You'll have to wait and seeee...

Funny that your class used buttercup as their mascot! That show was soooo awesome! I tried introducing them to the girls i babysit for and they didn't like them :(

Also had to comment on your usage of pants on the ground :) I laughed so hard when they had that on Idol! it seriously is the funniest thing EVER! I have made various little songs i sing around the house about goffy things based on that song, my favorite being based on my cat whom i swear is crazy!

Yay mickey collage! That seriously is a GREAT! idea!

So you know that thread Kara posted in her last update? The TR is called "The MCLOVINS Hit the World - HARD!!!!" and the author is _disneygirl.

I have been reading it because it's pure genius. (she has a similar writing style to Kara.. very enthusiastic and HILARIOUS! It's like reading a really good book. Even though she hasn't updated since October 1st :( I hope she updates someday again!)

Anyways.... I AM DYING. This is probably THE BEST thing I have ever read in my life. And it totally made me think of you. Because we're both this insane.

_disneygirl said:
Let me tell you a secret: if a man wants to seduce me… he needs to say only this:

“For the comfort of others, no smoking please.”

AND I WILL BE SMITTEN INSTANTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or “We are now circling the Disney created Seven Seas Lagoon.”

Even if there is NO LAGOON present… I will fall into his arms instantly.

I will ESPECIALLY want to marry him if the man says, of course:

“Por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas.”

Of course… no one ever does. Oh my aching heart!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

LOL- I though of Kristen, too, while reading that!

I like her writing style, but it's sad that there aren't any personal pictures- which makes it hard for me to read... I like seeing how other people experience the magic!

HAHAHA I know, right?! :rotfl:
And yes I know. I wish there were pictures. But at the same time... I'm SO incredibly entertained. I just can't stop reading.

And Kristen... here's another one. LOL

I didn't really care about [the characters] to be perfectly honest. I was hungry and wanted DISNEY FOOD!!! You see, most of my thoughts revolve around Disney food, even bad Disney food (I don't talk to people, I talk to Dole Whips with human heads), so the fact that it was sitting feet away from me and it was ALL YOU CAN EAT... well, I wasn't waiting for Prince Charming. I was heading to the buffet.

Which, truthfully, is a metaphor for my life.

Story of our lives. :rotfl2:

And then this, of course, is just like us too.

_disneygirl said:
Cough. Anyway... my mom and I decided it was OK if we miss a few characters and we got up to head to the buffet. I had seen Cinderella a few tables down, Lady Tremaine too. But Prince Charming came up behind me LITERALLY OUT OF NOWHERE.

This is why I hate the real world. You can obsess over your knight in shining armor all you want but he never comes. When I am dining at my favorite restaurants back home, no princes approach me. Not even one time. Not even... EVER. Odd looking men who are 41 and work folding T-shirts at the Gap approach me. No princes. But then you get to Disney World and BOOM. Prince Charming. Right there! At your service. Confused at why you would be getting up to eat when you could spend time with him.

His brow was furrowed in a very cute way when he asked me this. I giggled and sat as he took my hand in his and said, "Happy Birthday, Princess."

I decided right then and there that I would make it mandatory for all friends and family members to call me Princess at all times or else they would immediately be cut out of my life.

princess: this is why I love disboards. We're all nuts and it's PERFECTLY okay :)

I love the theming at Pizzafari. Everything is so detailed and colorful. We very seldom eat there at AK, but I do like the pizza. :goodvibes

Yet ANOTHER story of our life :rotfl: I can't explain to you how entertained I am by this thing. I can't wait until you read it.

My mom and I were laughing a lot, joking and carrying on during the whole dinner, but especially toward the end. It was getting late (our ADR had been for 8:55) and Boma was clearing out but we were still whooping it up like no one's business. Around this time I started to feel.... well. DRUNK. Like I said. Not drunk in the way of like, "I JUST DID 10 SHOTS, LET'S GO FIND SOME PEOPLE TO SPRAY PAINT!" But just... sillier, happier, inhabitions GONE. You know the drill. I think it was a mix of overtiredness, being really hungry and then the fullest i've ever been, and just happiness from being at Disney. But i'm telling you I FELT DRUNK. There is no mistaking that feeling. If you've been drunk you know it. When you're drunk, you're drunk.

When I say this I promise I am not joking. Not trying to be funny or anything. This really happened and I have no explanation for it.

I was drunk. At Boma. Not on alcohol. Didn't have a drop. I was drunk on food at Disney World. Which is just typical. I mean of course that would happen. I'm pretty sure I caused a scene all over town that night. Who knows where we ended up? Who we met? Probably stole a tiger from Mike Tyson or some such action like that. Who knows really?

I've been sooo busy between school, studying, and hom[ew]ork that i just got caught up; but I love your trip report!!
I'm embarressed to say it because everyone raves about it, but I've been to Disney more times than i can count and I don't think I have ever had Pizza from Pizzafari. :confused3
You're trip report got me reaallyy excited for my birthday trip in 2 weeks and 5 days!

Oh and I have the shirt that you wore in Animal Kingdom!
