Finally, after months of trying, my LGMHs were spotted on Tuesday at DCA!! :cool1: I walked out of the first aid station and was putting DS back in his stroller when Diznee Luver came over because she saw the LGMHs on my bag! I got to see her cute twin girls before I was off to find my family. It was funny that we ran into each other since we had been corresponding on the special needs thread last week.

Diznee Luver, it was great meeting you! :goodvibes

Ooh, how lucky! I've only been once with the LGMH, but they weren't spotted... I'm going to keep trying though.

There are lots of dis members going in 2 weeks so im hoping to see some lgmhs!

That's so awesome!! Mine was spotted at the HoJo and I wish I had been a little more "present" mentally at the time. Probably scared her a little!

OOOH How fun!!!! I have mine already to go for my May trip. I am hoping that I can find others with them too...

Woo hoo! How exciting! I spent SO much time making my LGMMHs, and there were 6 DISers staying at HoJo that week, but I never ran into anybody! Very cool that you did!

Escape2, it stands for Lime Green Mickey Mouse Heads. People over on the WDW side started wearing them around the parks to identify themselves as DISboarders, and it migrated over to this coast. A lot of people go to Home Depot to get theirs, because they carry Disney paint, and the little paint chip samples are in the shape of Mickey heads! (get the paint color called "alien green") So people write their screen names on them, decorate them with stickers, maybe laminate them and put them on lanyards, and hang them off backpacks, strollers, hats, you name it. :) In hopes that they will run into fellow DISers at the parks and get to chat.

Here's a picture of mine, hanging off my baggalini messenger bag, along with some treats we were enjoying from Pooh's Corner:

WOOHOOO.

Juners, I expect to see a lot of LGMHs!

LavenderPeach made mine for me and I will be wearing it in June. :thumbsup2

I have a whole week to bump into people so we will see. :)

I never saw any LGMHs myself but glad mine was spotted. :yay:

PinkBudgie, I also very quickly made up two plain LGMHs that I hung on a green ribbon next to the "fancy" one so it would be more noticable. I think sometimes the black/red side faces out which makes it hard to notice so you might want to do that too for maximum visibility.

I made some. Nothing fancy but it does have a purple string to tie it one with;) For some reason I like that color combo. It would be cool to see someone with LGMH at DL.

Did DizNee Luver say anything about the job interview??? Were the girls having a good time????

That is a fantasitc idea!! I think that there are a few people with overlapping days with us in May (7th-11th). I am going to get my alien green paint card from Home Depot after work tonight!! The Preschool I work for is right around the corner!! Although I noticed it was a little difficult to find all of the people who are going in your weeks unitl Avalon did the when and where thread!! LOVED IT BRILLIANT IDEA!!:cheer2:
I will have to go back to the thread and see if more people responded to that one!!! Although I probably don't need the paint chip when you see the mother of 4 girls pushing the screaming four year old in the jogger stoller that's me :rolleyes1 and my DD Cecily ....4 seems to be a hard age for us! LOL!!! But I will have my alien green Mickey head!!

I don't want to tell DizNee's story for her so I'll just give a short answer and hopefully she'll come back and give us all an update. She said the girls were a little overwhelmed with everything and there was some frustration with the job interview which hopefully got resolved. So when I saw her, it sounded like it wasn't the best disney trip for them. :sad1:

I"m sure all is good.

What is a LGMH?

LGMH = Lime Green Mickey Head

Lime Green is the Disboard color. So to recognize other Disboarders in the park we all go to the Home Depot's paint department where they display Disney Paint swatches since they sell Disney paint there. For free you can get lime green mickey paint swatches, put your "Disboard" names on it, and laminate the card and attach to your backpack or lanyards or whatever your wearing at Disneyland so other Disboarders can recognize you.

 It was awesome meeting you in person......we definately met on a frustrating day & running into someone "I knew" was a welcomed moment!!

The twins were definately struggling being away from home. Mike's interview didn't happen & it just added to the stress we were feeling. Will start a thread to update everyone that was keeping their fingers crossed & helping with the special needs advise.

We will be running to Home Depot before our trip in June to make some :)
We did it at WDW on our last trip and was never and spotted though we knew many Disser's were there during our time
We couldnt make the meet since we arrived the day after it happened lol
