Success!(mostly) Booking BC at 7 months

Hubby called promptly at 9 am yesterday and tried to change our SSR (studio)ressie for 4/9-4/17 to the BCV. The nice lady he spoke to informed him that although she had nothing for the 9th, the next 8 days were open. The catch was that he couldn't of course book until today (10th).

We conferred and he decided to call back right away, waitlist the 9th and then call on the 10th and see if he could get the rest of the week. He called back, said the second person he spoke to wasn't as nice but was able to waitlist for the 9th.

He called this morning and was able to book the studio at the BC from 4/10-4/17 with no problem. Yay!

Only one little glitch, I am now showing no reservation for the 9th anywhere. The cancelled our SSR for the 9th when they booked the new BC reservation. I'm about to call but wanted to talk with him first, to see if he wants me to try for BWV or somehwere else besides SSR. Sadly he is in a meeting. I would kind of like to stay at SSR as it's our home reort and I'd like to try it out. Wondering if it's okay to wait a bit or if I should be frantically calling now.

The SSR studios are not going to sell out that fast - go ahead and wait until after you talk to him.

Thanks took your advice and waited. He agreed with me and I re-booked wihout incident at SSR for the 9th.

He did say that he got the impression from the first CM he spoke to that there was additional availabilty for the BCV for the week following that.

That's great news, even during a busy time like Easter. I hope I'm as lucky when I start calling when my 7 mo window opens for early May.

Did my 7 mo. switch to BC on the morning of the 5th, and made it through without a hitch. (but it was a 1 BR, so I didn't bump you out of the studio spot).
