Substituting Sides..

Anyone know if you can do this at the disney restaurants? Like at LeCellier, if I wanted the filet, but wanted it with the cream cheese mashed potatoes instead of what it comes with, do they allow this? thanks.

Yes, you can do this...

However...

I do believe the mash potatoes went bye-bye... I was perusing the menus the other day and it looks like there is a roasted potato instead.

But FYI.... I lovvvveeee the risotto that comes with the filet. So good! You should really give it a try!!!

You can. I substituted asparagus for whatever side came with the beef tenderloin at Artist Pointe.

Actually, I think they still serve them, but with the Chicken dish. I just saw it up there a minute ago. Not with the steak though, which is why I was wondering if you could substitute. they sound wonderful.

Every time I've gone, I've gotten the prime rib and substituted the yukon potatoes for the cream cheesed mashed. One time they brought me the yukon but when I mentioned I wanted the CC they just brought me some on the side!! This was before the menu change though but I would assume if they have them on the menu, it will still be okay.

My husband does this all the time. He hates mashed potatoes and hates vegetables even more (if you can). He'll see if there is a side on the menu that he can substitute but if there's not, he just asks the server for options. Fries are always an option (because of the kids meals) and sometimes rice will also be an option.

Disney does it so easily that we now will ask our local restaurants for substitutions without fear.
