I found what looks like a good recipe for Irish Creme Bundt Cake and I was getting ready to make it for our communities Spaghetti Dinner this afternoon when I realized that I don't own a bundt pan or an angel food pan :confused3

Do you think I could just make the cake in round pans? I also have an oval springform pan, that might be better than just 2 round pans.

The recipe says to cook the cake at 350 for 60 minutes (10-inch bundt pan)

If you use a round pan, put a oven proof glass in the middle so it cooks like a bundt pan. If it were me I would just run out and buy a bundt pan.

I considered running out to buy a bundt pan but I live in the middle of no where, the closest store that would carry any baking pans (Walmart, BB&B, AC Moore) are 30-40 minutes in each direction, not to mention I would need to shower and get dressed before I left :rolleyes1

So it looks like I'm just going to substitute and hope for the best. I'm making brownies too so if it doesn't turn out too well... oh well :lmao:

I also just found this link

Our grocery store has them.

Our grocery store is 30-40 minutes away too... everything is 30-40 minutes away :headache: Well we do have a deli-ish type place, a pizza parlor, and a liquor store in the town that I live in but not the kind of places you can go to get much other than milk, breakfast sandwiches, pizza or liquor :rotfl:

This worked very well for me. I made sure that I sprayed Pam on the glass prior to adding the batter and it did come out beautifully. Just be careful that you don't overfill the pan.

Bummer--oh, well, so much for that idea. Do you have a neighbor that might have one you can borrow? The problem is that if you don't get the middle of the bundt open it won't cook.
