I have always wanted to make them. I saw Tyler Florence make them today and I thought I would give it a try today. I went to 4 grocery stores looking for them and nobody had them, even Wegman's, which has a HUGE produce department.

Tyler said that you really should use Kirby cucumbers.

ETA... I went and googled... I guess it doesn't matter. In all the stores I went to they only carried the common cuke and the English cuke, which he advised against specifically.

Our grocery stores do not carry them either.

My sister gets hers at the farmers market. Her pickles are very good. I'm even tempted to try it myself this year!
