One of the things that I am looking for, and have not been able to find, following the Disboards transition, is the ability to organize subscriptions (saved threads) by categories. Prior to the transition, I had approximately 300 subscriptions saved in categories that were created to represent the parks, resorts, disabilities, medical, shopping, Disboards friends, Disney shopping, miscellaneous, etc.
These categories have disappeared since the changeover to the new format. (Unless they are hiding in a place I have not been able to locate.) All of the subscriptions are now a mish-mash listing of threads that I have saved. They might be listed in date order of having new posts added, but without a reference point to easily search, they are of no value to me any more.
I have extremely limited time on the internet due to using a NetZero Hotspot. Therefore, attempting to plan an upcoming trip to Disneyland is extremely difficult. I need the ability to find the threads which I have used for reference quickly. I no longer have the time to do research that I had already conducted.
I am really disappointed in the new format. Many people who use tablets and cellphones for their Disboards viewing seem to be very happy with this new format. However, I use a desktop computer with a 19" monitor, and reading threads on this type of system is very difficult. The lighter colors (I would like to see Holidays back.), the ever-moving wording on title bars (similar to a scrolling marquee), page numbers appearing and disappearing as one's trackball travels over thread titles, etc., makes reading Disboards very unfriendly.
