Subscribing?

What does it mean to subscribe to a thread? I subscribed to two trip reports, and chose a daily email option, but have not received anything??? Will I only get the email if the original author of the trip report posts something new, and not the other readers' remarks?

That's right. If your interested let's say in what people are posting about a certain resort, but YOU don't have anything to say about it yourself, you just want to see what everyone else says, if you post to that thread you will receive an e-mail when others post to that thread. Typing "subscribing" is just a nice way to join the thread.

You can also subscribed to a thread another way, but in my opinion it's just as easy to do it the way you're asking about.

As for your other question.....you will receive an e-mail when anyone posts to that thread. I have been having a lot of trouble receiving my e-mails the last couple of days and as I just read on another post it sounds like many people are having that same problem right now.

Also change your option to "instant e-mail notification".

I don't receive any emails.. I have a yahoo account. I've tried adding different suggested addresses to my address books, but never get a thing from the disboards. Once I even forgot my password, and I couldn't reset it because I couldn't receive the email.

Anyway, you can click up on "User CP" in the upper left of the screen, you can see all of your subscribed threads there.
