What do you think will happen if you have a subpeona for a civil suit but can't get there because of being stranded somewhere due to the East Coast storms?

Is the court still open in full operation? I'd think that if a lot of people were trapped inside their homes, that maybe even the judge couldn't make it in. I'd say call the clerk or whoever's number was on the subpoena and let them know what's going on.

If you just flat out don't show up and don't call ahead, I'm not sure the court would be too happy.

Are you supposed to testify at a trial, or is this a deposition? A deposition is easier to reschedule than a trial. It's "just" an attorney or attorneys, a court reporter, and you answering questions. Heck, there's a good chance no matter what the subpeona's for, that katesorad is right - you're not the only party stranded due to the storm. CALL first thing in the morning.
