Submitting Resume's after just getting a new job

I've just got a new position, in a field that I really like. However, the person in charge can be very volatile, and has a high turnover rate, as well as the benefits being sub par. Makes me very nervous. So, my question is, has anyone ever submitted resumes to other companies after just getting another position? Did it work out well? Is it a bad idea? Thanks for your help.

I always keep my resume up to date, just in case. These days there doesn't seem to be a sense of loyalty from a firm to it's employees. Anyone can be let go at any minute for any reason.

I don't see anything wrong with continuing to send out your resume. I don't think it's such a big deal anymore to have many jobs listed on it. Some companies take that as a sign of ambition.

How long have you worked at the job? My advice would be to give the job a chance, especially if you've just started. If nothing has changed after a month or two ... then send out the resumes I did that a couple of jobs ago, I didn't like the atmosphere of the office and I gave myself a month to see if anything would change... nothing did and so I quit and found another job.
