Stupid TV people

I'm listening/watching MSNBC and then I hear the Emergency Broadcast sound. It's their damned weekly test! Idiots!!!! My heart just about jumped out of my chest.

They got me with that about a year ago. I remember the "good ol' days" when they would announce they were doing a test. Last year they interupted a commercial break for their test. Scared the bejeezus out of me! I mean, who interupts commercials unless it's an emergency?!?!?!!?

yesterday i was having lunch with three coworkers when another coworker comes into the room and says "something horrible has happened!" the 4 of us nearly had heart attacks until the guy told us it was something work related.

Yeah, I think that would scare the crap out of me too!!! I remember when we first moved into our house the sirens went off and it was kinda stormy that day and I just knew that there was a tornado heading our way. Took me a while to figure out they always test the sirens on the first Wednesday of every month.

What happens if there's a tornado on the first Wednesday of a month? How do you know if its real or a test?
