Hi everyone 👋
I’ve closed on our first DVC resale contract 🙌 and my question is this…is the DVC sign on linked to My Disney Experience? The email I used for my DVC contract is different than MDE. Does this matter? I guess I just don’t know what to expect from the DVC website and if it’s just a matter of linking a confirmation in MDE each time (which isn’t a big deal!). TIA
 
Everything with Disney needs ti be the same. So, when you set up your DVC log in, if you use a different one, it might change up the others.

I had two separate email accounts for DVC and disney.com, going back to a time before MDE existed. Disney IT merged them under one email without notifying me or asking which one I preferred.

No. It really wasn't possible to "unmerge" them. The best that I could do was to change my email preference to the one that I wished to use for Disney.

That's what I meant. You can't go back to having separate emails, but you can pick the one you want to use (I was focusing on the "without notifying me or asking which one I preferred" part of your post.

Ah, I see. My irritation with not being notified came when I tried to log into my DVC account less than a week before a trip only to be locked out of it because they merged the DVC membership into the MDE and I had to log in using that email and password. Of course, I didn't find that out until I called.
 
I called MS about this today because my fiancé used a different e-mail than his MDE account. They asked him to verify his information and asked which e-mail he preferred. It took a could of minutes, but then he was able to log into the DVC website, verify with a few codes which we received from MS and now everything is under one e-mail.
