Stupid problem and question...

I was on levaquin for bronchitis a little over a year ago. this stuff made my bones just ache. After i stopped taking it, the aching slowly went away. And now it's back. i have the same pains in the same places, (ribs, shoulders, ankles and feet) that i did on the leavaquin. Can this stuff still be affecting me after all this time?

I am going to ask my sister what her DH took. He had some terrible problems after taking something for bronchitis a few years back. I cannot remember what the drug was.

This was the Email my sister sent me:

"In the family of quinolones-- Tequin. It didn't make him sick, just had the tendon reaction (that can lead to brittleness in the tendon). Relatives are cipro and levaquin (that's what mom and dad took). There may be others."


Gary had terrible pain from this drug. It was something that was slow to go away also.
You have not had a fever lately though have you?

I also had a reaction to Levaquin. Bad pain in all joints and swelling. Had to have my wedding ring cut off. This was after 3 doses of it for a bladder infection. I had previously taken it for sinus infection a couple of times with no problem.
It took at least 2 weeks for me to feel decent again. My doctors denied that it could be the Levaquin-- tested me for Lyme's and Rocky Mtn. Spotted Fever.
After doing some 'research' on the internet, I was more convinced than ever than I had a rection to the Levaquin.
One thing Iremember reading on the internet during that time was that chickens are sometimes fed food that contains antibiotics and that this could cause a return of the symptoms if the patient ate chicken.
Have you been eating lots of chicken by any chance?

Oh my goodness.....be careful with medication side effects.

Drugs can give you thousands of symptoms......I am highly sensitive to drugs & the doctors have had to see it to believe it.
When I have had surgery they have had to stop pain medication because it makes me hyper, unable to sleep for days & so itchy the Benydryl doesn't even work.
Sulpha based antibiotics give me hives the size of saucers & I have difficulty breathing. Zithromax has caused my extremities to go numb & have rashes that look like burns.
