Just an update to pass along.
My two-day tickets arrived and I successfully linked them to my Magic Bands. I still plan to take them with me into the parks in case something fouls up with the MB.
I made my FP+ ressies for our one day at EPCOT and our one day at MK. It's funny that the "Best Choice" or "Recommended" times for the selected rides were NOT the ones I ultimately chose. It seemed the system always showed later times than what I wanted. I chose times earlier in the day (mostly before lunch) wherever possible to get that over with.
Speaking of lunch, I wanted to eat one meal at a table service restaurant on the trip. MK dinner choices were not appealing and EPCOT choices were somewhat full but I switched to lunch and got a Rose & Crown Pub lunch slot.
Funny story - my father (who I wrote about during my last Fort trip since he and I were the only ones on that trip) and I have this little friendly competition in place that has been ongoing for several years now. Whenever one of us is at EPCOT, we stop at the R&C Pub, buy a libation from the outdoor stand near the R&C front door, then calls the other on the phone and says, "GUESS WHERE I AM and WHAT DO I HAVE IN MY HAND?"
Then we lie about how great the weather is, how low the crowds are, and truthfully say what a great time we are having while we think about the other stuck at home. 
Hehehe, it's my turn to place the call next month. 
I went through the early checkin link on MDE and it reflected the note I made on my reservation for my requested loop 100. So now I guess I'm waiting for the MB's to arrive at the house.
Don't get the impression I like MB's or things are going smoothly. I still hate the lack of spontaneity and miss the excitement that the night-before meal reservations carry. But what's done is done.
