I have light brown hair, formally dyed red, but its back to brown. I was thinking of dyeing it but got the offer of highlights since my aunt wants to do her kids hair but wants a test dummy (aka, the good neice). So whats the differance between single and double process? I remember the last time I highlighted just combing it in with a triangluar tool and letting it sit on till it was time to take it off.
So your hair is not considered natural right now. That makes things even more complicated. You could have very undesirable results.
Do a test strand if your determined to do it anyway.
Highlight kits usually contain bleach. Maybe like the one you used prior that you just painted on.
so just another odd question, what if i dye my hair red again then wait 12 days (thats when the kids come home) and highlight it? can I do that? I dont wanna totally trash my hair!
I bought colorsilk beutiful color by revlon strawberry blonde which is the color I normally dye my hair which I do every 8 weeks or so, since I have really slow growing hair.
As far as base color before highlighting, I dont really care if im red or brunette.
If my hairs brunette, I was going to go with red highlights since I do have natural red highlihgts (but only in the summer)
If I go red, Im not sure what highlight color I would do.
I guess right now I just need advice, I dont wanna look horible.
Alright, I read again - if your hair is this Strawberry blonde, already - and thats what you bought, what would you be highlighting? Your hair is already that color.![]()
Hey now! my hairs all one color!Its brown soon to be highlighted with the kit im gonna run to walmart and buy.
Maybe this visual will help us;
