Welcome all to my Pre-Trip Report.

First things first....Let me give you some details

THE WHO


There is Me...A lot of people on boards know me as Sharky. My real name is Kelly. Feel free to call me either one. I am 32 and happily married with a 5 year old son. I have been to Disney about 8 times and I am also a former Cm. Did a one year role as a hostess in Toon Town. My favorite Characters would have to be Snow White and Minnie Mouse.


Next is my Husband. I will refer to him as DH. Not big on sharing a lot of personal information. He has been to Disney about the same amount of time as myself. He, too was also a CM. He had a one year role as Monorail Pilot. DH's favorite characters would have to be Figment and Mary Poppins.


Finally, there is my Son. I will refer to him as DS. He is 5 years old and is going into Kindergarten next month. This will be his 4th trip. Ds's favorite characters would have to be Mickey Mouse and Woody.

Seriously though, great start girl!! The title is very fitting for you guys. I can't wait to see your ADR list and watch it change as many times as mine has (going to post my most recent change today ). I'm still so excited that we get to meet/hang at the best place on earth this year. It's about time we had a trip around the same time of year. It's going to be SO great!!

Marshay asked if we had free dining and I thought I get to that question before I give the list of our tentative adrs.

When we first booked this trip, we were using a CM Room Only Discount and planned on eating mainly counter service meals. We were going to pay Oop for one or two table service meals.

Then, when They released the Free dining Fall Package for general public, I did some math and figured out that was a better savings for us.

Since we are staying at a value, we were to get the Quick Service Plan for free. Well, I did the math and figured out for only $127.00 more, we could upgrade to the Regular Dining Plan

How could we turn that down

So Marshay, the answer to your question......Yes, we do have free dining


In making up our list of ADRs, had to take into consideration a few things.

First being, DS is the pickiest eater you will ever meat. When most picky kids will at least Hotdogs or Peanut Butter and Jelly. Not my DS....

Second, DH had put in a request to eat a few buffets, his favorite and to eat a couple times in the World Showcase. Since he never gets his way, I Figured I be the nice wife and grant him this request

Finally, I really want all of us to see some of the Deluxe Resorts Christmas Decorations. I don't want to take a special trip just to see them, taking away from Park time. I thought best solution would be to eat at TS meals at some of these Resorts.

The List

Rose and Crown Pub - Dinner

LeCellier - Dinner (hopefully)

1900 Park Fare - Dinner

Chef Mickey's - Dinner

Kona - Breakfast

Boma - Breakfast


Now we have only done Boma for dinner, but never experienced Breakfast there. I hear it is out of this word. I am very exicted about this one

We did 1900 Park Fare for Breakfast almost ten years ago, so this will be new to us too, as it will be dinner and different Characters.

Chef Mickey's is the first character Meal we ever did as a family. DS had one request this year and that was to see Mickey Mouse. This is way better than standing in a long line to see him

Le Cellier, Rose and Crown and Kona are first for us. I am dying to try some Tonga Toast. I hear it is awesome


I know LeCellier is a very popular restaurant and I may not be able to get it for dinner or even lunch.

As a back up, We are going to try for Late lunch at Le Chefs De France. That would be another new one for us.

I had a reply all quoted and then somehow hit the wrong keys and my IE shut down --

YAY for free dining!!! $127 is nothing to upgrade to TS!!

When you make your Le Cellier ressie, go straight to "date range" view so that you'll be offered all the available dates for your time.

I did it as a test for my dates and for dinner was only offered 4:40pm for one day of my trip. This fills up so quickly, that if you really want to eat here, I would do a date range search instead of a specific day.

All your ressies look great. I wanted to try R&C but was wondering how this goes over for young kids.

So what in the world happened at R&C??? I don't remember...is this the bird incident?
