I do not understand the thought process of wanting to hang out in the room on vacation? I just can't see the need to use all those extra points for a 1bed for what amounts to maybe a 'little' more room when we all go to sleep each night?!? In reality, that is the only time the extra room is needed---as if you are at Disney and hanging out in the room all day, then you are wasting a lot of money, lol.
We really like having our daughter in a separate room from us when it is nap time or bedtime, so we DON'T have to sleep or be super quiet when she's in bed.
Plus, it is easier for us to keep things organized in a 1-bedroom, rather than feeling like we're living in an explosion of suitcases. The latter isn't very relaxing to us. And we do like to use the kitchen. Mostly just for breakfasts, sandwiches, and snacks, but we usually do a dinner or two in the room during a week-long vacation and sometimes do other things like baking Christmas cookies.
Anyway, I personally can't imagine being happy with a studio for four-- especially when one of the kids is full-grown. But plenty of people do it happily!
