Hi everyone!
I am taking my friend and her one year old daughter to VWL (studio) this Thursday night, with my 3 year old son and 8 month old baby. Both babies will be in pack n play's that we are bringing. My son will sleep with me and my friend will sleep on the pullout. This is just for one night because I called today and nothing else larger was available at any other resort. Do you think this will be ok for one night?

TIA

From the look on her face in your signature photo, I'd say that you shared this plan with the 8 month old baby already! :lmao:

Hard to say whether you'll be "ok" for one night. Maybe if you close down Pleasure Island and make it a short night? Good luck to you.

if you get a dedicated....

there is not alot of room for 2 pack n' plays - oh you only need to bring one - there will be one in the room. (closet)

I would put one baby in the front of the room (in a dedicated this is a little bigger and has an extra closet) near the door.

the other one could fit in the kitchen area - but no one could use the bathroom..... :rotfl:

you could do it - but it would be a tight fit....

Oh my gosh. Now I am skeered. What should I do?

tight fit for me.....

if I get more than 3 people coming with me - I need to get a 2-bedroom.....

lots of people get by on a whole lot less space than I need..... :) :rotfl:

For one night I think you can do it!

look at the studio accomodations 360 degree

you might be able to fit one of the cribs in the area between the queen bed and the wall.

can't use the area near the couch - because the sofa bed, pillows and table take up the entire area.

I tried to get something larger. Nothing, at any resort except a studio at VWL. I suppose I will call tomorrow and try and get them another studio for just them. ??? Thanks for the replies tho'.

I hate to give away points though, when it is just to sleep. :confused3

I think you can easily fit two Pac 'n Play portable cribs in a studio - even with someone using the pull out. I wouldn't want to do it for a week, but for one night, it won't be that bad.

Best wishes -

I think you'll live to tell us about it!! :)

Have a great time!

I also thing you will do OK for 1 night.

I think you'll be fine for one night, as long as you and your friend both have a good sense of humor. :rotfl:

You should definitely get one Pack-n-Play in the area by the door, and I think you could put the other one right up against the closet next to the vanity. That should leave you enough room to get to the bathroom. If not, you can always slide the closet door open and push the Pack-n-Play partially into the closet.

Or, if all else fails, can the one-year-old share the sofabed with your friend? I don't think you can put bed rails on a sofabed, but if you put her on the side by the balcony door, you could maybe push some of the chairs up against that side of the sofabed.

Oh, well, it's just for one night. At least you'll have some funny stories to tell when you get home. :lmao:

You will be fine. Put one PnP in the entry way to the room. There is plenty of room to walk by with it there. The other one can go by doorway to the room next door, close to the sliding glass door. If you have a dedicated room this doorway won't be there, but there still should be enough wall space to put it against the wall. In both cases you can still walk around. You will be fine. I wouldn't waste the points on another room if it were me.

I didn't mean to skeer you! I just read your post and saw that picture of your baby and had to laugh as I mentally connected them! :teeth:

I agree with the others. For one night you can make it work and save the points. Good luck! :)

Thanks everyone for the responses! I appreciate it :thumbsup2

As long as both the little ones sleep through the night well I wouldn't worry about it. My DS1 and DD6 sleep HORRIBLY when we are on vacation. They wake up several times each night, I guess because they don't have their own beds that they are used to. But if all the kids are going to sleep fine and not wake the other kids up I wouldn't think twice about it, it is only for one night, how bad could it be?

Another approach - if you don't mind sharing with your friend, have the adults share the queen size bed. Don't pull out the sofa - your 3 year old can sleep on it comfortably as is (my 4 year old did). That leaves plenty of room for 2 pak in plays. HTH!
