Studio request at HHI

Hi! I've never been to HH before, so I am looking for a map of the resort, and also would like some input on a good studio location to request. Thank you!

We have always enjoyed being the main building and there are studios there - just my two cents.

Will be at HH in 5 weeks - yippee.

HH has a total of 21 Studios (and the same number of 1BR villas).

16 of the studios are found in the main lodge area (building 11,12) and the other 5 are each located beneath each of the GVs (one each).

I've stayed in the 1BR under the Grand Villa in Bldg. 18 and there is a studio connecting to that. It was a great room in a nice location and I was happy to be closer to the pool instead of in the Main Lodge and the bldg next to it. However, rooms under grand villas tend to be really loud. We experienced this and I've read it posted here many times. So if you're early to bed or late to rise - you might want to request the top floor of the main bldg or the one next to it to avoid the noise from above.

We stayed in a 2 room Villa once on HHI (all both of us). Disney Visa gave us 2 nights for $99 and they upgraded us. A wonderful place.

This last Winter we stayed in a studio. We had the one closest to the lobby as I had just had knee surgery and that is the only building with elevator access. It was a great room. The view out the balcony was wonderful...it overlooked the marsh and on to the pier.

The last dozen or so are from the Grand Villa that we were hoping to get for Thanksgiving. Right now it is more likely we are getting a 2 and a 1 bedroom.

We love the studios in the main lodge, especially the ones on the right as you face the lodge (I forget the #s) that overlook the water. We've been both in the lodge and in Building 28, and I agree about the noise from the GV above in the Buildings. That's why we always request "upper floor, main lodge". And in the evening, I love to head downstairs to Big Murgie's den for a little while, just watch a little TV, do a little reading, maybe this year I'll do a little DISing, since they have free wireless internet there.
